Something for the program competent I suspect (which doesn't include me)...but a fun thought....with each new "life" you have a new "face"...it'd add to the immersion for me....DEV's???? For an amusing perspective on the Empire's great moments you've GOT to read George MacDonald Fraser's FLASHMAN series.....all fantastic...including "Flashman and the Tiger"....a highly amusing take on the engagement @ Rorkes's Drift. Fraser's other books encompass the sepoy mutiny, the american indian wars, the charge of the light brigade, the white rahjah of borneo.....all magnificent. And best of all a stand alone novel of an American gunslinger trying to make a go of it in Victorian London called "Mr. American". They're all enduring favorites I've reread time without number....hope they'll serve you well on night watch. Cheers............

gents......fiddling around with Jone Soft files and must have put something amiss. Deleted all JoneSoft files....reset OFF in workshops, deleted uisel........can't get past select pilot screen now as a "map file error" occurs each time. Any thoughts would be MOST welcome!!!! thanks....

I keep seeing overlapping textures and distortion heigthwise on the awards bar.........too much rum perhaps.....keeps the cold at bay but bad for my futurity....virtual and otherwise...thoughts? thanks...gaw

RAF.......no worries. Maybe it's a 16:10....4:3 issue? Dunno....I'm 1680x1050......so who knows where the proportions go astray on this rig/resolution. Love your work though....thanks!

HPW.....bless you old son...I suspect that was, now that you mention it, the peccant part.........but I have indeed panicked already and reinstalled .......( a day w/o OFF is no day at all)......which turns out to be a good thing somehow. Game plays faster....looks astonishing w/ Olhams graphics guide and I'm back in the saddle..........and in the sights of some devious Hun in the sun I've no doubt. seems I must....oddly enough I can kick in OFF via the manager icon in the game folder but it'll only go to a quick combat...no pilot choice....P4 come sooon. Already bought HITR twice and should have bought the unlimited download option in the first place....sigh, live and learn...I'll buy HITR again....totally worth it!!!! thanks for the thoughts.............

fair enough....it's RAF's "All New Medals for OFF P3".....I do have your lovely little FOV tweak in place Ol and perhaps that affects the medals display as well....don't know....I'd assumed it only encompassed cockpit views....no biggie. The original medals work just fine and display perfectly. I've seen pix of RAF's reworked medals and they're lovely..............a restless urge to fiddle with something that works perfectly well leads us all down these paths I suppose. No worries!

yeah......1680X1050 all around.....monitor, ATI, and game setting...........any default .bdp type thingie needing to be scotched??.....don't know. Must be working for some....seen some nice pix!

OK....uncle al got zapped....I glossed his posts because they were so often churlish or random...not the forum's style at all...but there was meat there. Nuff said...maybe we can start a new sticky with hard-won insights or suggestions. Maybe it's an absurd enough suggestion to win membership in the BOC...........haven't a clue but here goes... 1. I always warp when I can because I seldom have the time to drone along to the moments that matter. Kill me now...........fine. Ever forgotten to disengage auto-trim BEFORE warping and had to deal with that ghastly yo-yo dip that on occasion rams a squad mate and ends a promising career? Try this....hold the stick full back and the moment you come off warp...bad chap, waypoint, or home base....you'll still be momentarily on an even keel and you can adjust in real time quick as billy-oh. So there....that's a seed.....maybe,,,
