I have been following the posts regarding claims with interest. I think the Devs have been very clever and introduced this as a subgame. Everyone is frantically trying to work out the perfect claim, the Devs must be greatly amused. A recent patch allowed those of us not really interested in playing the game a bypass. I see in recent posts Winder has given some clues. Personally I would ask him not to give the game away. I'm sure this could go on for quite a bit longer yet providing an interest and diversion for many. Well done.
In both wars claiming was a less than perfect administrative system, the pilots often having genuine claims disallowed. Perhaps it should also be mentioned that access to enemy documents after WW2 showed that even the allowed claims were much higher than actual and it was likely the same in WW1. Perhaps a case could be made for all claims to be additionally reduced to reflect that. Now there's a thought!
