I have for sale a Thrustmaster Hotas Cougar joystick This has been modified to remove play in the ‘X’ AXIS by fitting miniature ball races. And fitting screws to the ‘Y ‘AXIS shaft, this locks it to the carrier unit which then only pivots at the bearings. It has also been shimmed to remove lateral movement in both axes bearing blocks. It has also been sleeved with brass and sized to a tight tolerance on the slide of the ‘Y ‘AXIS. There is no spiking on any of the pots, but it comes with two spare used pots for the Joystick axes (These were removed from a Cougar which had Hall sensors fitted they do not have plugs attached so will need to be soldered to the existing plug leads if they require to be fitted. Unfortunately I’ve no idea about the usage of these) The throttle quadrant works well. Except for the Antenna rotary switch which does not find the central detent correctly on centre when using the viewing/setup program. In fact it’s never done it in any of the two that I own.or any I have worked on. But I’ve never found it a problem. It's a few years old now but is better than a stock item. The next mod would be Hall sensors which makes it truely wonderful to use.

Hi. I've got Freetrack working in 2x axis in CFS3 and 6x axis in MAW. But it will not start up O.F.F. anybody got any ideas what could be wrong....I'm stumped why it will run the original, and one add on,but not the one I want......

Thanks to Abys for jogging my memory about starting things up as ' Administrator ' ! I set every thing up to start as Administrator, Firstly, Freetrack, then, tir_attack. ( both minimised) then, I tried all 3 sims In turn, CFS3, MAW, and then OFF.... I now have 6 axis working perfectly in all three sims. And after only a few hours flying I can tell you I don't think I will be going back to thumb twiddling. As an aside,my outlay so far is £ 4.00 for 3 IR LED'S + £ 5.00 for a web cam from a car boot sale.wiring etc.I found in my junk box.

At the moment due to a glitch somewhere in the board of my Cougar Hand Controler, I'm using a Belkin Nostromo N52 on the left side, Surprisingly It's very good,.....easy to set up,no conflict with the Cougar Joy stick or pedals, plenty of buttons and it falls nicely to hand. And it's easier to lift and stow away. http://www.amazon.co...58070116&sr=8-4

Hi there. I suppose I could be called a long term lurker as I've been playing O.F.F. for a while now but never managed to talk myself into MP ( I case I cause a multi-midair) ......Soon Honest !!! Anyway, I came upon this one night while trawling round the net . Going with the style and colour of the monitors it's a few years old and must have cost a pretty penny in it's day. Just wondered if any body recognises it.. Is it yours by any chance ?

Hi there, THRUSTMASTER. T-FLIGHT HOTAS X ( TRY AMAZON ) I bought one of these last year to tide me over whilst waiting for upgrades for my Cougar to come. I've had hours of fun using it. Totally plug'n'play, accepts any set up in any flight sim I've used so far. It's even got two Rudder controls, the usual Twist grip type, or the one I've set up, just to be different is the tumble switch behind the Throttle control.I've even set it up for Driving and Shoot'um'ups just to see if it would work and it did. I reckon I've spent more on a night out and got less enjoyment. ref_sr_1_13.htm
