About redbat

  1. Hi! I'm having some difficulties to install these weapons. Here's some questions: 1 - In your instructions you say "open weapondata.ini". What do I do after opening it? Do I remove the weapons entries you refer in "remove or rename weapons: FAB250,BVP-50-60,FAB500 M62,S-24", one by one? 2 - What do you mean by "click 'Merge' use MiG-23_27_weapons2.ini"? What is that "merge"? Where and how do I click to do that? 3 - What do I do with all those files in the "Aircraft INI Tweaks" folder? Where should I put them? The only thing I got well was the "copy weapons for weapons folder" part. Sorry for all this questions, but I'm not a Pro with this modding proceadures If you could make it more clear I would appreciate that Thank you Best regards
  2. The F-18 HUD works fine in my SFP1. I have the cockpit graphic settings set to high in both simulators.
  3. Guys I'm having a problem with the new F-18 HUD. I get a white square in the middle of the HUD on the attitude strip place. Also, the view inside my cockpit gets really slow... jumpy. Does this happens to any of you? Cheers
  4. Just another thing, I'd like to suggest to determine a date to stop posting new files and also to edit the final list of those files. That way everyone will know that the new files are already being used and it won't be necessary to ask. Cheers ;)
  5. Hi guys :) I was quite surprised with the amount of new planes/files here suggested!! I understand the will of having this and that plane...and even that other one too... and why not, this one over here.... by the way, those three also... I think we really should keep some restrain to this thirst of ours of collecting nearly every plane we like from a single update. I noticed Berkut83 wants four files and Angelofdeath five files... We had made an agreement of only two files per person between each update and there are already ten new planes from only two persons. So, there are already more planes than the first update, wich had files from everyone!!! Now, I haven't suggested none yet and A1 only had one, imagine if we did the same as putting every aircraft we would like!! I think we all see where this could lead if we all post each and every plane we want from a single bound...Too many. If there are some new players who wants to join, they would have to download too many files. Also, it may stop people from having interest because of that... like already did... as far as I know. So, PLEASE PLEASE lets try to keep that small rule, 2 files per person, ok? There will be more updates to come and it will be already hard to new comers to install them all! Another thing I would like to remind is to use only full working addons, no betas. Lets try to keep a good quality of new planes, easy to install, like .exe or drag and drop files, without having to edit WEAPONDATA files and so on, and so on... In orther to try to keep this small project with good quality planes and addons, PLEASE TRY them first, TEST them first and see how they work. If there are some mising weapons, like that EA-18G, please don't post them. There are lots of full equipped planes to download. There is always the possibilty of adding some good Weappons Pack, like Bunyaps or the Column5 one. So, Berkut83 and Angelofdeath, please check you new files first and repost them all if you find they are good. I will not post any further files because there are already too many. Next time. Testing the files, how easy they are to install and how good they perform, is very important to prevent the users from having to post troubleshoot back and forth. It will make more straight forward and clean the whole process of updating WOV5, with no worries. Also try not to put too many planes of a kind, like variants of the same model. Also try not to post too many UFO's. Guys, I apolagise if I sound too picky, but if we want to keep this project alive we must keep it organised, simply by following some simple rules, ok? All ideas to keep this organised and easy to use are welcome. Cheers
  6. Very nice!! Just what I've been looking for!!! Is there any server in Hamachi, or other place, where I can join to fly this mods? I've been thinking about creating a server dedicated to Korea Scenario, but it seems I don't need to reinvent the wheel, somebody has already done it Please let me know it there is one. Greetings
  7. These are some of the planes I would like to add to this collection: Mirage Factory Mirage CJ: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=5220 Mirage Factory Mirage IIIE: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=5222 These two don't need to change the date in their respective ...DATA.ini files. Also, this MiG-21 Complete Pack 1.3. It has the right versions of the MiG-21 for each Thirdwire product, including the WOV, of course. It's simple to install, just copy and paste and click yes to overwrite the original files. Each model has their correspondent cockpit! Sweet http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=7596
  8. By the way, please leave always a link to the download page of the intended addon. I supose this is the F-14A from the Mirage Factory you're referring, isn't it Felix? http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...mp;showfile=826 Cheers
  9. Hi A1! I would suggest that the airplanes to be installed are of easy install. This EA-18G.7z has folders like the agrusn1, seat_SJU-17, wich are not clear where to put them, and a "Add to weapondata.txt" file when there isn't any "weapondata.txt" file in WOV directory. So, I would strongly recomend to keep it simple. Using .exe addons, like the ones from Mirage Factory, or simply dragging and drop folders. Otherwise there is a strong possibility not everybody beeing able to install all of the new planes correctly and this WOV5 project would have very little number of users, or even worse, becomes a dead project. I have had my own bad experiences with this kind of "tricky" addons and at the end they don't work properly. Keep it simple, clean and cool, with no messy installs. Cheers
