  1. Break of Naval Air

RIP to all those brave aircrews who didn't make it As for the airplanes flying on after the crew ejects, I read a story once about a British Harrier or Sea Harrier, I don't remember exactly which, cruising along when the Rolls-Royce Pegasus stalled, again I don't remember why. Anyway, on a single engine craft the "Engine Out" emergency check-list is very easy to remember 'cause it only has one item: EJECT! Pilot did so and guess what: it cleared the stall. Afterwards the aircraft flew on, straight and true, at the same altitude until it ran out of fuel and crashed. Apparently the pilot commented: "When I trim an aircraft, it stays trimmed!"
  2. The end is near

It's been a while since I turned 30. At the time I thought I was settled for life, married, my daughter just born. I will hit 40 in two years and my life has completely changed. Five years ago my daughter died (I will love you always), her death drove us apart her mother and I so we divorced and I left Europe to heal my wounds. You don't start your life anew, you just move on as best you can. I don't sleep so well anymore but I'm still standing. Got remarried and now my second wife is 5 weeks pregnant! So if nothing else just remember this: never ever give up!
