I saw this in the paper today at work, I already knew about this chap. He truly brings a tear to my eye, Just think about his whole life for a while. He has seen the death of Queen Victoria, The up coming of the car, the birth of flight, the Titanic, TWO world wars, the moon landings and he is still here to tell his life story.. Seriously guys this makes me want to cry.. He is the last of a generation that will NEVER be seen again.. A truly amazing chap.. his family should be epicly proud. I would love to meet this guy and shake his hand and thank him..

Both CFS3 and OFF: BHAH arrived form ebay today :) I sent the seller a massage asking for the order code which he was more than hapy to supply me with. Now all i need is my bloody joystick back from my work friend.. A 360 pad along with CH Peadles and throttles is just wrong.. But hopefully later tonight I can fly

I have only had OFF 2 days and I can Fly and Land.. just make sure you approach SLOW and glide the last part, touch down at the start of the field.. These crates dont have brakes.. Its not hard learning curve for basic flight is a few hours or less. Combat is HARD althought I just "almost" downaed the special red DR1 set to ACE with 100% realism HUZZAH! I was with him for ages and shook him twice in my trusty (Niuport 17) I crashed after I went into a spin recovedrd at the last second and only cliped my wing then dediced to land quick because the plane was almost uncontrolable. couldent lose the speed in time and she collapsed after touchdown.. As other will say or may have alrteady posted to say.. Do your self a favour and use a Track IR.. makes the looking around searching chore nautral and fun. Believe me when I say looking abot easily is a must. A few tips.. 1. In a fight NEVER I repeat NEVER fly stright for more than a few seconds 2. Keep looking.. if you lose him keep turning about and trying to find him 3. Paitiance.. "Sooo Gooo on and do not stop till his tails are near your prop" :) get in close and use 2-3 second bursts If you are already a sim fan or intrested in aerial combat you will/should know this EDIT* As for campaign the missions are issued to you like in RB.. weather permitting ;)

Just been using it again and its soo much fun, I can turn back and look down the tail of my se5a of the hun taht is about to make me his next tally.. Still trying to get used to useing it again but the more i use it the easier and more natural it will feel. What is different about the Track IR 5 over the IR 4 Pro?

I have to say if it was not for the outbreak of world war one and two I think we would only now be getting to grips with jet technology.. Look at ww2 closed cockpits were a new thing and we wnet from the last generation of biplanes to the first jets and presurised interior. which also brought in combustion to advanded rocketry levels, which in turn turned eyes to space and the moon. Technology always moves alot a hell of a lot fater in wartime.. Weather we like it or not while there are humans there will always be jelousy and geed, so there will always be war.. "All of this has happened before, All of this will happen again"

I have one already, I got it for FS 2004 but I fly in 2d cockpit more than 3d on that. I will most definatly be setting it up for OFF

I was very intrested in this.. that was untill I found out there is only a few aircraft and a static campaign.. It needs a decent selection of aircraft and dynamic campaign before i will be intrested in it for single player

Hello all.. I found out about O.F.F by accident. I must say it looks amazing. I have always loved WWI Sims. I started with Knights of the Sky and WINGS back on the Amiga 500 then when I got a PC I had Dawn Patrol and soon got Flying Corps and then got hold of Red Baron 2. Just something about old wood and canvas planes. I guess when I was given a ride in a Tiger Moth years ago this made me just love Bi-planes seriously wearing a helmet and goggles with the wind in your face is amazing. Anyway back on topic. I am seriously trying to get hold of CFS 3 now I am in a war on ebay trying to get a copy with OFF included :) When I get both and ready to join the 20 minuiters .I am thinking of flying as/for French, I was nearly always German Air Service in Red Baron 2. I might even fly in the Lafayette Escadrille. Its so good to find a good ww1 sim. I have been looking at the progress on Rise of Flight (formally Knights of the Sky) as awesome as it looks with visible hand signals and truly amazing physics modelling flight and damage, the lack of aircraft and having a static campaign kill it for me. Anyway I cant wait to get hold of CFS3 and OFF and hunt the skies again.. for up to 20 minutes at least :)

Rudder peadles is actualy alot more easy (once you get used to it).. its flying with a stick again that will mess me up. been flying heavies with a yoke and haven't touched a stick in 12 months..

FRAK YEAH!!! Won the auction.. CFS 3 and O.F.F BHAH on their way :) Now just to get my X52 back from my friend and install my Track IR *cue dramatic emorional music from the final sortie in Flyboys..which is also the launch music in Armageddon* (love that piece of music) Twenty Minuiters here I come..hmm is it too late to join the womens axulliary ballon corps?

I most Likley will since I love the SE5a, I also like teh Sopwith series.. I am mostly looking forward to the Campaign and uncertainty of the sortie. I can imagine it.. There is me thre on my first patrol just about to turn and head home when I see a German squderon come out the clouds.. then I unervingly notise a scarlet DR1 or Albertross leading them.. one word will come insantly to mind.. (clue it rhymes with duck) yep that will be about my luck.. I have insanly happy memories playing Red Baron 2. I never did play as French or American so for my frirst pilot I may well go Lafayette Escadrille nas a Yank volenteer. Can this be done?
