  1. I always try to find good things in anyone's work .... we are a freeware, friendly community, but, -I'm sorry-, I can't find nothing in these files. No way to fly VPAF as USN and USMC .... you can fly USAF but with Sao Do texts .... And the optional J-5? One decal number stock MiG-17 plane ...... I think that before uploading a file some testings are needed and maybe before mod or re-mod something is better to take a look to previous existing mods ....
  2. MiG-21M

    Version

    1,467 downloads

Mig-21M The Mig-21M (modernizeerovannyy) was the export version of the Mig-21S (Sapfeer-21 radar), the first fighter of the third generation Mig-21s. Both NATO nickname was Fishbed-J, the engine was the Soyuz R11F2S-300. It differed from the domestic version in two important respects: the downgraded (simplified) avionics and the built-in GSh-23L gun. The Mig-21MF (modernizeerovannyy forseerovannyy), the export version of the Mig-21SM (S-modernizeerovannyy), all named Fishbed-J too, had the more powerfull engine Soyuz R13-300, the rear view periscope and two blast deflectors below the blow-in doors. The Mig-21M was exported in East Germany (87), Poland (36), Czechoslovakia (24), Romania (60), Yugoslavia (25), Bulgaria (15), Syria (12), Egypt (12) and India. The IAF had 65 Soviet-built Mig-21M (izdeliye 96) were called in India Mig-21MF, but the Indian-built Type-88(izdeliye 96F) , very similar to soviet Mig-21MF, was called Mig-21M , that caused some misunderstandings ….. This is taken from Yefim Gordon’s Mig-21 masterpiece. There was’nt in TW/TK simulations. So I started from the Mig-21MF and removed the periscope and the blast deflectors, changed the engine stats (data taken from previous Mig-21S mod), made some other editings (performances and weapons) took some stock MF skins (Soviet, Syrian and Eaf), made new ones and historical known serial numbers. I was not able to remove periscope from inside the cockpit, if someone could , do it please. Because some Mig-21M were sometime “retrofitted” with periscope and blast plates, I included in the pack a dedicated “retrofitted” data.ini. You have only to change it with the stock one. In this way the plane is identical in shape to Mig-21MF. In fact the IAF planes were “retrofitted”. *** * *** The new skins included: 1) LSK Silver & Camo with historical serial numbers (made on Souli’s original work as usual) and “Q” quality marks on appropriate planes; 2) PWL Silver with historical serial numbers; 3) Yugo Silver with historical serial numbers; 4) IAF Silver & Camo with known historical serial numbers; 5) FAR Silver with historical serial numbers; Stock Soviet, EAF and Syrian skin included. Credits (I hope no mistake ..): - Ordway for his wonderfull cockipt; - Spillone-104 for dedicated sound; - Soulfreak for LSK stencils To install: simply put everithing in your mod SF-2 folder. Pictures and Screenshots as usual. Happy fly. Paolo P.S. this is an "open mod" everyone can help with historical references or FM tuning.

  6. I think that this little plane could be ready for NATO 5, Eric ....
  7. Yes I have it in the pipeline, edited by the great ZUR in person and there are some pics around here. 2 models early & later (with IRM rails) in the makings. The skinset is almost done for all the original users but the plane is still in the hangar for data.ini tweakings in Spillone's mighty hands. As I changed the gun positions too the flames, the smoke etc need to be shifted. so be patient and stay tuned, please.
  8. Hey Gents, I have an F-8 FN DLC Enhancement pack ready to upload. Inside the pack there is the F-8P too, with new Denis Olveira 3D parts added .... What I'ld need are some data/cockpit/avionics.inis tweakings to portrait this later model, anyone interested ?
  9. Well Gents, RWR works fine (Thanks very much Coupi) MK7 seems in place Alex no ECM needed If there aren't anymore suggestions I'll go for the uploaded this evening.
  10. A fantastic model with superb skins! PS: inside "Lewis Gun" folder there aren't "Black" and mostly "Misc" bmps. So the gun is all black ......

The RF-8 Crusader was a photo-reconnaissance development and operated longer in U.S. service than any of the fighter versions. 16. Someone could add Martin-Baker Mk 7 for me?
  17. The renovated F-8E(FN) was designated F-8P for prolongé (extended life). It was more of an overhaul than a modernization, although some modern equipment was fitted. The entire electrical and hydraulic system was replaced, and the structure was inspected for fatigue and reinforced. A Martin-Baker Mk 7 zero-zero ejection seat replaced the older zero-120 model. The radar and flight control systems were reconditioned. Only the avionics were really modernized. A VOR/ILS system was fitted, as well as an IFF, a GPS, a TACAN, a radar altimeter and a Thompson- CSF Sherloc radar warning receiver. The RWR was fitted in a rectangular fitting on the aircraft's fin, which distinguishes the F-8P from its predecessor. The cockpit layout was also changed and a new inertial navigation system, similar to that of the Mirage F.1, was installed. Despite the overhaul, the “Crouze” (as it was called by the French) was obsolete: it was not adapted to modern warfare environments and maintenance was increasingly difficult and heavy. The Crusader production lines had been stopped a long time ago and the French Navy depended on the Davis-Monthan AFB boneyard in Arizona for spares, when it didn't have to manufacture them itself. That's what I found. Thanks Coupi I'll test the RWR. No ECM on board? It seems not.
  18. Good work. BTW the removed gun by data.ini always shows in early F-104A .... no way to delete it from model and textures too? And a question: had PAF, RJAF & RoCAF F-104A guns ?
  19. could you upload, please? Thanks.
