    Lightning F.1 upgrade full pack * patch 5/11 ready *

    You need 5/11 patch to enjoy this pack.

    Edited data/userlist.ini.

    Added loading screen.

    Spillone104 provided RR Avon sounds.

  2. After almost a day finally the F.1 big skin pack is pending for approval ...

     

    The skins are ugraded with all decals except numbers on the skin as Carlo likes.

    As F.1s were in service on TTF squadrons since 1973 I changed data/userlists.ini.

     

    Alex took me the 'real' RR Avon voice and a 74th Sq. loading screen was included.

     

    As my work goes on with F.1A, I have to tank Tk for 5/11 patch new features.

    what did the patch change for skinning ???? and what are the new features ???? and will the skins still work on sf2 games that are not patched with the 5/11 patch :blink:

     

    Umut is right: new numbering and new bump maps.

    If You extract a lightinig skin folder You can see better than I try to explain.

     

    So texture.ini files need to be edited, but working on new jpg files is the new job for silver/colored planes.

     

    No idea if this will work on previous patches or custom planes (but I think not).

     

    I'm learnig and trying.

  4. The new 5/11 patch changed many things in skinning adding some new outstanding features, so with some WIP to remake I decided to start a new skinnnig job using new standards, these are first squadrons

  5. I haven't try any full install mod yet but if they haven't old cat packs maybe they could work (as with previous patch) simply changing the old exe file with new renamed one.

     

    With cat pack we could try (waitng new tools) opening them.

    remember folks, the "000" decal is actualy the FIRST one, so like Paulo said, add 1 to the last number for the block size!

     

    any differences in teh shadow, for you post-patch users?? *just curious, as I'n not patching unitl the new extractor comes out!)

    The shadows that not show after previous patch (like old Yak-28 serie) seem ok.

    An ancient beauty comes back! 5 stars for me, mate.

     

    Last patch users unite and try this adding the last 4 lines properly edited (see below) in each TextureSet.ini skin:

    Reflection=0.000000

    DecalNumberRandomize=TRUE <-----------------add these lines

    DecalNumberBlockSize=13 <--------------- how many decals you have for each skin (quick tip: add +1 to the last decal number of each set)

    DecalNumberStart=0 <--------------- start decal number (0)

    DecalNumberEnd=12 <---------------- last decal number (X)

     

     

    No more numberless planes!

  8. Well the very good news are that some old shadows show up again (I experimented the old Yak-28 serie)

     

    Another one is the new decal shuffle (we can delete "." at the bottom of all numbers files and if we are good no more unnumberd plane in fly) :good:

     

     

    A bad (I hope solved soon by TK in person with new modding tools he promise) is that I wasn't able to extract default stuff with previous cat extractor.

     

    Another very bad thing (for me only) is the new sharkmouted Hunter ... because last week I spent a night in making it by my own (sob!) :suicide:

  9. FAW.2, 893 Squadron, with Sundowner's skin (also his are NOW being used in the FAW.1. Ant reminded me that he'd done some hirez skins 'way back when. They look sooooo good!)
