  1. OK, I have WOV installed and patched up. I installed the Infantry Pack SP4 (1) and the Soviet Artillery (2) for the WOV Ground War Enhancement v2.1. (3) 1. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=5350 2. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=6043 3. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=7730 Instructions with the infantry pack did not seem to correspond with what was included. But all the ground models are there in the game. They do not shoot however. The infantry pack included just the object files and mentioned about some weapons pack. Someone forwarded me the gundata.ini so I put that in place and updated the .DAT file. Still nothing. Consequently, under a different file directory I have the Falklands mod installed and the ground units put rounds down range as theyre supposed to. any ideas/ hints/ tips/ help?

  3. Yeh, they match up.. odd. I might try n copy some of the data from the Falklands Mod that works n see what happens. Not exactly sure what to copy. I do have other ground mods installed in my SE Asia version of WOV, such as the self propelled arty pieces, and the individual VC, NVA and 'vusa' soldiers. They use the same gun and bullet data entries as the squads that have probs and they shoot, so it must be with the addon squad unit themselves where the problem lies.
  4. I've added other ground addons that do fire. So I guess I just have to read through all the files n try n figure it out :(
  5. Yes its WOV, I'm not sure if its the ground campaign expansion, as the infantry mod should work on its own anyway right? I've checked the gundata.ini and it has the right entries for the weapons... quite perplexed.
  6. Are we going to be able to download this any time soon, or are you still working on them?
  7. Map Editing

Hmm, no joy. I'm pretty useless at finding out bout this stuff. If you could give me that run down?
  8. This MOD makes the game! I have a question though. what are the variation between Green Hell and GH 2, aside from things added? Is it me or is there less vegetation variation and fewer water buffaloes in GH2?
  9. I installed this mod on WOV. All that your download had were the unit folders. If a weapons pack is needed could you include it or post a link to one. Someone sent me a gundata file but still, the units do not shoot, even though the .ini has the correct weapons in it... bit lost.
  10. Hmmm... sorry I'm new here n very lost. Is that a weapons editor for WOV or for the mod, and where can I find it?... where is the knowledge base?
  11. AHHHH this is what I've been waiting for! Where do we download it????
  12. WEAPONS? Installed it to WOV which I patched first with the Oct 2008 patch... installed the mod. Runs fine, just there are no weapons load outs. Any ideas?
  13. I installed as per instructions. CFS3 works fine on its own, but when it tries to load through OFF it crashed every time. I'm on windows Vista, and ideas?
  14. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=5350 I downloaded the infantry pack for WOV, it has installed and I get the units in game, but they do not fire. In the readme for the game it eludes to copying and moving gun data from gundata.ini and all sorts of things that I cannot find in the actual zip or anywhere.
  15. Ok I put the gunpak into the right place, /OBJECTS... but the infantry mod that use the weapons do not fire. Do i need other files such as the BulletObject.ini and Weapondata.ini and WeaponData.dat the modder was talking about?
  16. Is there another weapons pack anywhere? The one you kindly linked to unfortunately does not have most of the necessary weapons files: GunTypeName=40MM_M79 GunTypeName=50CAL_M2 GunTypeName=5.56mm_Assaultrifle GunTypeName=66MM_LAW GunTypeName=7.62MM_M60 GunTypeName=7.62mm_PKB GunTypeName=7.62MM_Rifle GunTypeName=84MM_AT-4 GunTypeName=Bazooka GunTypeName=RPG-7
  17. Thanks! hmm put them in Objects or Objects/weapons?
  18. Hi all, I haven't installed it yet, but looking at the picture the VietnamSEA Tile Repaint v1.0 seems to show mostly corn fields and orchards, not say paddies, irrigation and grazing lands. It looks oddly similar to the terrain from the European theater of CFS. I don't mean to offend the developer, but does anyone have any further reports or comments on how this terrain looks for S.E. Asia? http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=5300
  19. Yes this is exactly it, great terrain, but yes, desaturated. I don't know about modding but I know about optics. Satellite imagery is altered by season, time of day, weather, climate activity, etc etc etc... all which impact the light quality. For example, go on Google Earth and look at the Korean Peninsular, which has been highly mapped, but every stretch of imagery is different to the next, you can also see snow covered sections next to plush green wet season sections next to dryer hot season sections... this would be mere so for South East Asia, where provincial differences between wet and hot seasons are huge. So in these tiles you get the odd effect ofg plush jungle that ends right next to very 'blue' unsaturated tiles that look in the sim like peak hot season on a hazy day. To correct this I suggest looking at images and photography from the ground from Vietnam, throughout the regions, terrain types and seasoosn to get a proper feel of the tonal range you should be aiming for. I will look forwards to seeing that work. If anything I'd say the earth should have a mostly red hue for many lowland regions.
