  1. Okay, I found the solution: when playing I do so from my user account, but as I do have the game on the admin-level (and play "as admin"), I have to switch on shadopwplay in the admin-account as well... Simple as that...
  2. Hm, here on my rig Alt+F10 records the last so-and-so (predefined) minutes - Alt+F9 switches on/off the manual recording... Anyhow, neither does produce any video in the selected folder... I checked the commands in SF2 but nothing is assigned to the Alt+F9/F10-combination..... In FS9 I do have a lot more of a problem as when hitting the Alt-key the tab-bar is opended and the Flighsimulator is put sitting idle....... I AM right that when on the latest set of nvidia-drivers and with the "shadowplay" tab in the GeForce-Experience I do not have to download shadowplay individually again, am I?
  3. Shadowplay is a great hint - but how do I get it to work in SF2? I thought I had switched it on by hitting Alt+F9 in game but nothing is recorded... Strange... Showing the last x minutes does not show anything either... And - yes - I do have it switched on....

  5. Cool - the "Game Loop"-stuttering over Hanoi is fully gone, and I haven't noticed ANY adverse effect (yet)! Many thanks! Still need to see the effect in NA (as I am using Gerwin's Iceland Terrain, it already ran pretty smooth)... What actually DOES this setting change?

  7. Yes - it's really great to have these "old boats" in game as well, now! Thanks... One thing, I stumbled over when finishing one mission yesterday: I let the autopilot bring down my Phantom back to Coral Sea. The aircraft was decelerating way beyond the landing zone, "hanging in the air" in front of the angled deck before coming to a stop... Can it be that the game still "thinks/calculates" the angled deck is longer (CVA-63) than it "really" is (CVA-43)? Could this be corrected by some ini.tweaking, maybe? Cool, if you could find a solution to this. Bonne journee Oliver
  8. Got it working: I needed to change CARRIERTYPE from CVA-63 to CV-43 in all my Campaign_DATA not just CampaignV1 (which I did not use when checking)! Many thanks again - now getting Big E as well would be GRRRREEEAAAT!

  10. Hey, sorry - it took me some time to find the time for download... Now I run into questions: I already copied the carrier to the Objects-folder. Now the only other thing I thought would be needed (without copying your whole Campaign-folder) is to change the "CAMPAIGNV1_DATA" and overwrite "CarrierType=CVA-63" with "CarrierType=CV-43" for the new carriers to make the game look for them in the Ground Objects. But this (alone) doesn't work... What else do I have to do to make them appear?

  12. So you will put them online as "downloadables"? And how can I get them into my SF2V then? I'd love to start my VF-111 campaigns from the "correct" carrier (Coral Maru that is) then.....

  15. COOL!!! Getting the Coral Sea for my fav Sundowners and the Enterprise sounds like a GREAT thing.... Keep up with them!
  16. I like - would add a lot in terms of immersion factor! So, if it can be done (without too much labour), I do second... How about a Kawasaki GPZ running parallel to the runway? ...No, can well do without - then I'd rather love to see my/a Vette parked next to the hangars........ Anyway, I am still very anxious to see this one (Top Gun Campaign itself) being rolled out!

  18. On his discussion board TK answered that he will not change this, as "it would most probably break a lot of mods"... Unless a crowd would ask him to nevertheless do so (and then this would take time, I read between the lines).......
  19. Every now and then I find, that the file endings of my hangar- and loading-files in the aircraft.ini's get overwritten... What was .jpg previously is .bmp then and vice versa... I have to manually go through all the aircraft .ini's and check and correct. Veeery time consuming. I have no clue what triggers this. Btw: I am running SF2V with the Expansion Pack Gold on v 2.1 and SF2NA (more or less bare) on a merged install... Any hints, maybe? Thanks
  20. Hm, I haven't patched for quite a while - and, yes, I saved another "back-up" of my mod-folder right after finishing my "repairs"... I will give your advice (recreating a plain mod-folder, overwriting all but options.ini and version.ini with the back up) another try the next time, I run into this - well worth it. Thanks a lot.
