  1. YESSSSS! Thanks, man! (Whithout having it tried out yet...)
  2. I must admit, this is something I eagerly look forward to...
  3. Hum - yes, but how to determine then if sth. that didn't work before might have been fixed by the patch - but is overruled by some mod copied back into the game???
  4. WIP

For me the higher ones, please!
  5. Hi kout! Yeah, I see... Maybe you will work on that in the near future - at least I would love to have that changed to your proposal, too.....
  6. Hey, cool - looking forward to apply your screen (F-14) this evening. Question: will the selection (Instant Action/Single Mission/...) remain on the right sidebar, or have you been able to put those on the top of your screen as shown in one of your earlier shots? I assume the former, huh? Too bad...
  7. Interesting question. I do have a merged game install of SF2V and NA, but two different mod folders in my "saved games" - my mods cannot get mixed up badly that way... I am starting NA or V separately - but maybe that is not really necessary!?!?
  8. I'm using the X52 (with Rudders), too - great fun! I re-assigned several avionics-, view-, radar- and targeting-functions to the buttons and by saving them under another name am able to select whatever jet's controls I'm flying... Example: - make copy of controls/default.ini - go into the game under options/controls, selcet "copy of default" (or if saved under "F-14-controls" select that one), and customize - all changes will be saved - you can do this with as many planes as you like (say special AA or ground offence HOTAS-setup) But I had to apply the hotfix first - maybe your SF2NA-download already included it!?!? I can supply an example of my controls.ini, if desired, when back at home tonight...
  9. WIP

Cool - cannot wait to apply that to my NA as well! Great work... Same with the Hawkeye-voice...
  10. Cool, Tomcat is finally out and with the hotfix I even have been able to shoot some missles... When enthusiasm gives way to reality again, (as always) one starts to think about what improvements might be at hand. (Without a new CAT-extractor this is still wishful thinking anyway...) Here a list of my wishes/ideas: - change music of Main screen to "Top Gun Theme", "Danger Zone" or "Final Countdown"-movie-theme - change loading screen to some RL-photo of a VF-84-aircraft on the cat - change pilots with enhanced pilots (squadron helmets) - get improved addt'l squadron's a/c skins (VF-111 with sharkmouth, VF-114 with orange band, VF-1 with the wolf's head below the cockpit...) and add their pilots (helmets) and in the longer run: - get CVA-65 - get something like the Vietnam Expansion Pack, adding a compilation of the best goodies and taking the game up another notch Any modder welcome to fulfill my dreams. What are you guys missing?
  11. Hum, where is his post gone? Hope he can supply a reworked set..........
  12. Noted - I can try this over the upcoming weekend..... And THAT makes my NAVY-single missions start from the carrier? Sounds strange without having the ini's before my eye... By the way: has anybody found a way to make those nice escort ships appear in Vietnam as well??? Thanks!
  13. Hi! Okay with the possibility to extract it was most easy to supply my Tomcats with their respective pilots (helmets)... Turning to the next tasks: - I recall somebody reporting he re-worked the speeches of Hawkeye's controller (added some white noise). I cannot find t anymore. Neither his post, nore some link to download his changed file(s)... Can somebody help? - and anybody reworked the music of the main-screen? (Yes, I found the music of that old game, but I'd rather like some Top Gun- or Final Countdown score...) Thanks
  14. Hum, I just checked: my NAVY (single) missions in SF2V still start on the ground and not on the carrier..... (V and NA mergerd, single mod-folders)
  15. Can you please supply the .ini's for that, Dave? Would be great...
  16. Cool job! That on TWs F-14? (I noticed the pitot tube on the radome...)
  17. Can someone who already extracted please supply the F-14.ini to me? Just saw the tools can be downloaded now, but I'm at work... And as I just want to change the pilots for Wrench's VF-84-pilots (as a start), I hope someone can save me the hassle of extracting the whole set myself... Thanks!
  18. Yes - I know... And although you're not totally wrong with the screaming colors, there have been exceptions at least (NL 202):
  19. Nice work - can you please supply your how-to for tinting the windshield and adjusting the lights... Thanks.
  20. And - hey - VF-111 sported sunburst and sharkmouth more often than not. It was just a short period - right after transitioning to Tomcat - that they did without... Do some googl'ing and you'll find almost every shot showing them in full glory (like below). I'd love to take that bird to the sky... And I'm sure, I'm not the only one here.......
  21. Worse than putting it onto the Phantom's radome? 'Cause that works pretty well...
  22. On SF2V I use to work with several sets of aircraft ini's for their respective squadrons - like one F-4B_67.ini with VF-111-pilots, another one with VF-114-pilots and a third one with VF-161-pilots sitting in the 'pits. I just have to select the squad I am going to fly before starting the game... (The ones not used just keep their name like F-4B_67 - VF114.ini ... Easy!) I'd like to do the same here. Right now this is fairly easy, because as long as the VF-111 bird isn't fully convincing (still missing the sharkmouth) I am going to fly VF-84 95% of the time anyway... So, do you have the F-14.ini handy already? Would be cool! PS: thinking it over again - it's not the F-14.ini but the F-14_DATA.ini.........
  23. ...depends on what makes you "whoa!".... I think it's great - but it still needs some bugs to get ironed out - and furtherly enhanced by mods after that!
