  1. OT: Back into modeling 2

Now that you mention it, actually...... yes, looks a bit like Eastwood!! Anastasios
  2. OT. Back into the modelling.

Just be sure to use a primer before the silver, then the silver won´t chip for sure, only the acrylic will. And of course, the shiniest the silver is, the better. And give it time to cure, a week or so...... Anastasios.

To be honest Siggi, I'm not really sure! It's either Oak-A or Oak-B, had a photo in front of me and tried to do the best. Rickitycrate, if you weren't so far away, I could offer a paint for your busts. I love training on figures that I don't have to pay for, even if I have to send them back when they're ready! Anastasios

Yes, I used powder. The secret with chipping is that the silver is actually enamel but the green is acrylic! Acrylics, although they get a grip on shiny silver, can be chipped easily! Try it sometime, it works. Anastasios
  5. OT. Back into the modelling.

Well, pretty much the original one!! After the primer, I painted the whole model with an Aluminium from SnJ and polished it. After that applied the Green/Grey and decals, weathered and then chipped the paint away with my nail. looked pretty convincing to me!! Your Jap looks really nice too!! Anastasios.

Speaking of chipping color, here are some photos of my last big airplane model, a Hasegawa 1/32 Zero with lots of PE stuff on it...... A lot of dust on it too, although I got it in a vitrine!! Anastasios.

Ken Follet is LEGENDARY!! I remember his Albatros some 15 years ago, was absolutely amazing!! Weird only, I can´t find any pic of it!! BTW, I almost finished my current modeling project, nothing to do with WWI really but still, I´m going to post some photos here when it´s all done!! Anastasios.
  14. Cachya for head tracking?

And what´s the budget for all these, I mean the bluetooth adapter and Wii. Should be a three LED arrangement? Lots of questions, isn´t it? But thanks in advance!! Anastasios.

  18. OT: New drawing

    Looks really great!! Anastasios.
  19. It is mentioned as a "Taube" but as far as I know it isn´t. I´m no expert though. The photos are from my hometown, Thessaloniki, Greece, at February 1916. At the time, a strong French expeditionary force was in the city and advancing northwards. The plane was set at show in front of the "White Tower", the city´s major landmark, from upon the second photo was shot. I suppose the first is from the "crash" or land site. Any tips on which type of aircraft is and maybe any other info on this incident? Which unit came from for example? Thanks for any tips, Anastasios.

Hey Gous! Nice to read some Greek here! Wouldn´t expect it at all. And from someone with a DK badge as his photo and a Frenchie from Monty Pythons and the Holly Grail as his avatar, that´s another surprise indeed. I´m sure I´m stuck here for ever now and believe me, it´s good to know! Wrees oi fwto apo tin 8essaloniki, etsi? Kai malista prin apo tin purkagia tou 1917! (a bit more greek babbling :-) please forgive us! ) Anastasios
  22. OT: Can you help me...

Wow, I´m impressed!! You guys rock! Apart from the aircrafts in OFF, my knowledge base of WWI aircrafts is really limited, but you got it in you. Thanks for all the tips and hints, I really appreciate it. An early Albatros B.I in Reccon role on a mountainous environment at the Balkan Front. Quite interesting. Thanks again people, I love this community! Anastasios.
