  1. Decals not showing up in FE2

Ok, I found a step by step tutorial by a fellow named Heck that describes what to do. What a pain in the butt. The should just paint the darn decals onto the fuselage instead of having to set up a whole new Decals folder with aircraft subfolders and subfolders to the subfolders to each D file you have. Geez.
  2. It occurred to me that I'm really not sure what version of FE I have. Can someone tell from the front page?
  3. Duh, what version do I have?

Sunuvagun! Thanks, I found it. I'll play around with it some.
  4. Duh, what version do I have?

Then again, maybe not. I see FE2 is completely different in its setup than FE. No object files or aircraft folders or any of the sort! So how were you guys able to add mods to FE2?
  5. Duh, what version do I have?

OK, Quack, for $20 how could I not? So I did. It looks cool, however I can see that my machine is not up to specs. It runs a little slow on my XP, and I probably have out of date video cards, too. I might try it on my laptop with Windows 7? IF not, maybe I should put a new PC on my Christmas list. Can I copy all of those cool downloads from my FE Exp Pack to FE 2? All the planes and sounds and stuff like that? The folders look the same, so I imagine I can just move from say "objects" folder in FE to FE2?
  6. Duh, what version do I have?

Is it worth it to get FE2? Is it much improved? Thx!
  7. solid? So that when you hit one, your plane crashes? I know it's not set up that way. But I think it'd be cooler if attempts to land were a little hairier. Thx!
  8. RoF? No, not yet. I'm still wondering how to arm the L-63s... or at least give them fighter cover, if you can help with that.
  9. I was wondering if there was a mod to arm the L-63 Zepps(?). I downloaded the Zepp to go with the Zepp Hunter download. Cool looking Zepp, but as of yet I've encountered no retaliatory response from it. One of the coolest things I liked about Red Baron was the Zepp attack. Pretty cool in Crimson Skies, too. Any ideas?
  10. Arming the Zepps?

Ok, I'm not computer gaming literate, so pardon what might seem like silly questions. What do I do with the above information? Put it in the Zepp file? I'm one of those who needs step by step instructions. Sorry, but thanks for helping out!
  11. This might sound dumb, but does it come with the castle, soldiers, cars and horses and all that? It's really amazing.
  12. Train Stations for FE

A note of encouragement from a non-modder here who appreciates all your efforts. I was thinking the other day how trains would make a great target, after watching the original "Dawn Patrol" on Youtube (at the end a lone flier makes a bold attack on a German railyard). Good luck! Looking forward to one day strafing a few trains in FE.
  13. Check this one out...

Funny, mine doesn't look like that. Mine's a complete cockpit.
  14. New Skins for FE2

Yes, it is. Back in the 1960s (here I go showing my age), DC Comics came out with the Enemy Ace, Hans Von Hammer. Later they came out with Steve Savage, an American pilot based on Frank Luke, the Balloon Buster. His motif was a set of crossed six shooters in a blue oval on the side of his Spad. Colorizing wasn't as sophisticated as it is now- his Spad- in fact all American Spads- were colored yellow. That's why I opted for French Tan 1. I have tried to find a picture of it, but haven't had any luck. I still have some of those comics, but they're in storage. Since we have a Von Hammer skin, I'd like to see a Steve Savage skin. Here's what I'm using now.
  15. New Skins for FE2

How about a Steve Savage the Balloon Buster skin to go with the Enemy Ace one? If I knew how to do it, I'd take the French Tan skin, and on the fuselage side put two crossed six-shooters in a blue oval. Then just select the USAS markings in the game selections to put on the roundels.
  16. I guess to me that was a problem with the originals. I usually see where my tracers are landing. Good luck!
  17. July 2010 patch is out

    What was wrong with Verdun?
  18. New Rise of Flight Release

What is Arrowhead? I don't like this trend nowadays where you have to play online. Sounds like a way to make your version obsolete very quickly when the next edition comes out.
  19. Peter01's FM and the May patch

Not sure why exactly. I'm on vacation this week, away from my PC. When I return home, I think I'll try it again starting from the beginning using a backup.
  20. There have been so many improvements by the modders here on this forum to FE, showing FE's potential, I was wondering if there are any plans for Thirdwire to bring out a new version 3? FE's great for those of us who don't want a game that you have to logon to a website to use, and is self contained with a wide variety of planes available (thank YOU modders!). Now if only all of this gaming goodness could be brought together in a new updated version of FE!
  21. Peter01's FM and the May patch

Yes. Stay as far away from the ground as possible. I wish I could get Peter's FM to work. Couldn't Thirdwire just incorporate this into FE 3?
  22. Amusing Mission End

But... I thought all Germans spoke English! It's that way in the movies! Well, except for BoB- "Don't any of you Jerries speak English?".
  23. WWI Ships

That would have made an impressive target!
  24. I'm wondering if there's some way to bump up the enemy AI's aggressiveness level. It appears that after our squadrons collide, the enemy AI seems to want to break for home. I have all the settings on hard. I was wondering if there's something in the code- like set skill level to LUDICROUS or something? I can't remember if it's always been this way. But now I can fly straight and level, and odds are no EA will follow me. Even the old Red Baron game was more aggressive than my FE is now. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
