  1. Hey Chris, got to say I never thought of that. So I gave it a try. No, that didn't work, either. Loadout says I have bombs, but nothing happens when I hit the bomb button. Odd.
  2. I downloaded that folder, and copied into my objects folder. Which now has 4 folders- aircraft, decals, ground object, and weapons. I noticed though that some of the Allied downloaded planes (DH 4, Brisfit) don't have bombs showing up, even though the mission is to bomb target, and bombs show up in the loadouts. Another poster on here has the same problem. My Camels and Hannovers do show up with bombs, though. Is the instruction to load bombs not reaching what it needs to to give me bombs? Thanks! Sorry to be such a nuisance.
  3. I'm having the same problem. Funny thing is, the bombs work on say my Hannovers, but not on my Strutter, DH-4 or Brisfit. I have a Weapons folder in my Objects file with all the known weapon subfolders in it. LikeHeck said, they show up in my loadouts, but when I take to the air they're not there.
  4. Do I make those numbers higher or lower? Any particular ones you recommend changing to make the enemy more aggressive? I really do appreciate all the help here!
  5. Flight Formations

    Shoot them down?
  6. And if I need a weapons folder, where does it go? ThX!
  7. Ok, I downloaded it. I have a few questions- * I don't have a weapons folder in my objects. Should I just make one? Then do I move everything weapon related item in the folder (rockets, bombs, etc) to it? Or do the weapons belong in the aircraft folder? * I never know whether I should copy and drop the folder into the game, or just move the contents. For example, when I add a downloadable new airplane, I drop the whole folder in objects. For the airplanes that he's listed, let's say the Alb DIII, do I move his folder over and drop it in objects (which I guess would give me 2 Alb DIIIs), or do I open his folder and move the contents to my existing Alb DIII file? If so, what does this do to the existing file? * Which of his files actually affect the flight model? FE Essentials or the various airplane files? Just trying to understand (dimly) how it works. What I did was make a backup to use as a test case, leaving my original alone, in case I muck up. Thanks!
  8. Well that sounds intriguing! Do you have a link to which one it is? I looked in the downloads for flight models, and I'm not sure which one you're referring to.. Thanx!
  9. I downloaded it off the Thirdwire site. It says First Eagles, Expansion Pack 1. So is that FE 1 or FE 2?
  10. I've downloaded Skunkworks Pfalz, but for some reason the planes don't have crosses on them. Neither do the skins you designed. What am I doing wrong? Never had this happen before... Thanks! It includes a folder named "D" with the decals, but it doesn't seem to be calling them from there.
  11. A Question for Quack

All of them were that way. I took your advice from the other thread and added "PfalzD3" to each "D" line in the notepad and it worked for all the A-1 Skins. After that, they worked. Thanks for taking the time to assist me!
  12. I had originally addressed this to Quack, since it's mostly his skins I'm downloading. But then I realized others might know the answer to my problem. But I can't figure out how to re-edit my original post to change the topic (durn noobs!). So here it is: 1. I downloaded Skunkworks Pfalz DIII and DIIIas. 2. I installed them into my objects, aircraft folders. 3. When I went into FE2, the planes show up in the directory. 4. But the airplanes don't have any crosses on their wings. I've tried putzing around, and comparing it to the other folders I have. In every prior instance, when I downloaded a plane, it was complete with roundels or crosses or whatever. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Since these are the first A-1 planes, I've downloaded, I'm thinking I overlooked something. I read the "readme"s, but can't seem to find where I messed up. Can anybody tell me what I did wrong? A screenshot of my Windows Explorer on how it's set up on my PC is on the "Help me Quack" thread. I appreciate your assistance.
  13. Decals not showing up.

You are a genuis! Turns out all's I had to do is add "PfalzD3 to the /Blue Max/D/TCross, and VOILA! they're there! Much obliged!
  14. A Question for Quack

Here's a screenshot to show you how it's loaded onto my PC. Help me Obi-Wan Quack. You are my last hope.
  15. Only problem is... the crosses aren't showing up on the wings. I'll have to ask him what I've done wrong...
  16. Yes, I've gotten them. But since I haven't played with my RoF lately, I ignored it.
  17. Wow. You got that right! I got approval today. I just downloaded the Pfalz DIIIa. In accordance with the Capun's directives, I will wait awhile before I download another one. But now... I'm going to go find me some Pfalz skins! Thanks!
  18. It's not a problem with Skunkworks. It was me. I was very busy for awhile and didn't have a chance to read through the procedures and all. Today I finally had some time to read through everything and cut and paste and request a password. A plane stealer? Hardly! I wouldn't even know where to begin! I've depended on forums like these and YouTube tutorials to get me to the point where I could actually fly planes in the games I have.
  19. Seems to me we're always getting hosed in a dogfight. I find that in no time my flight has been shot down or sent home badly damaged. And to add insult to injury, that's when the AI starts having enemy planes come out of every direction to attack me. Sure, it's exciting, but after awhile I begin to think we should just make one pass at the enemy and then turn tail, because we'll get creamed if we stay and fight. So is there anyway I can make my flight's skill level a little higher than it is? Thanks!
  20. Thanks. Guess I'll just have to do without for now.
  21. Now all's we need is a Pfalz D-III body downloadable plane put on this site.
  22. Attempt at Crash Smoke

That first image is a still from "The Blue Max". Note the camouflage pattern and the Maltese style crosses on a Fokker D-VII. I've downloaded a lot of the wonderful mods you gents have made- except for the bloodcurdling scream. But after reading these postings I'm still not sure if folks are satisfied with the results or not. Believe me, I have nothing but kudos for those of you who take the time to make these.
  23. I know what you're saying though, Saint. You'd think they'd have put some kind of sight on the deck. If only to give you a fixed point to sight on or around. It's really tough with those wing mounted guns like the earlier Nieuports. I can't sight it at all- tracers coming from above you and all!. If I'd been a pilot back then I'd have found some way to jerry-rig some kind of sight.
  24. Greetings to all, and best wishes for a Happy New Year! Now I've been flying some of those wonderful two seaters- but I have a problem. When we get jumped, the rear gunners don't fire. They still swivel around, but don't shoot. Is there a command button I need to push to tell these guys, "um, our plane is being shredded. Please consider shooting back"? I tried Tab-1, and that gets my formation to attack, but only as if they were fighters. Thanks!
