Guys I got CF3 DVD. The next step is to un-install the old CF3 CD and install the CS3 DVD . Once it is installed, it is my understanding is that the disk does not have to be left in the computer, is that correct? I installed the CS3 DVD , played short mission, then tried it with OFF & disk out no go, disk in no go. I put the CS CD in and it worked. What am I doing wrong, Help? After viewing Hellshades videos, I can hardly wait to get WOFF. Thanks Rich

I am running windows 7 on my system, can I run First Eagles on my computer. Right now I fly OFF (over Flanders Field) and I enjoy the simulator very much. But I would like to try another WW I simulator. Thanks Rich

I like what I see with First Eagles 2 and all the add on stuff you can down load. Maybe I should explain myself. I have had experience with down loading and installing mods for MS Combat Simulator 2. I enjoyed flying this sim but I like the WW I era better. That is why I have OFF, Rise of Flight and Red Baron 3. Of these three, I find I enjoy OFF better, never could get the campaigns to work right in Rise of Flight, don't use it. The Red Baron sim, I just didn't like. But with OFF, it was easy for me to install with all the patches ( Hat in the Ring add on) and fly the campaigns. I never tried to install any of the available add ons, the installation seem to complicated and I did not want to mess up my game. I did do one add on, It was the Medals improvement, installation was easy. I like OFF but I would like to try something different. Is Third Wire Productions the only web site? It is not like OFF web site, it is more informative. Well at $19.95 seem like a very fair price. I think I'll order it. Will the Track IR v5 camera system work with this simulator? I am sure I'll be asking a lot of questions, I hope you guys can help get it up and running. Thanks Rich

I agree, I feel more comfortable here. I'm not sure it means to be the official site for OFF. I would think it is the site that people who fly OFF go to exchange ideas, comments and mods. Eric, I have been building and flying RC airplanes for years, about 6 years ago I started building large scale WW I airplanes. During the research on the airplane, I learned not only about the planes but the men who flew them and the war itself. The more I learn the more interesting the subject has become. I built a 1/4 scale German Fokker D V II and choose to model the airplane flown by Oberlt. Erich Lowenhardt, he was the third highest scoring ace with 54 kills. There are several good books out there for the war and thee aircraft. Many of them have been listed on this forum. I have built a 1/3 scale Fokker Eindecker, a 1/4 scale Sopwith Pup and now building a French SPAD XIII, with each of these plane I the color scheme based on the pilot who flew the airplane. Plane in my WW I war bird fleet has won 7 awards in Oklahoma (2 years in row), Texas ( 1st & 2nd place) and Kansas (3 awards). The food and the wonderful people is what I miss most from our time in Germany. We lived in the small village of Beersdorf about 15 miles from Bittberg, we were the only American family in the village. As you know most of the houses are connected, next door lived a lady who was in her late seventies. She would bring over the most wonderful dishes of food and pastries. We could not speak the language very well, but very soon my 8 year old daughter, Vickie, learned to communicate with her. Mrs Seidel, her family, who lived in Bittberg, and the nice people of Beersdorf made our 3 year stay very enjoyable. I have tried many of the German restaurants here in the states and it is just not the same. In all my travels, the time in Germany was the best. Rich

Many of us have a special place in our hearts for our dogs. This is Sammy, she is a long haired Dachshund. She is my flying buddy, ever since she was a small puppy she like to go to the flying field with me and now she thinks she has to go all the time. Sammy goes to many of the flying events around the state with me and she has made many friends, No matter how hot or cold it may be, Sammy is there. She is now 16 years old and she can't get around very well so I made her some wheels which she uses very well. It is remarkable how much unconditional love and denotation can come from a small little dog. Sammy is my buddy. Rich

I was a single parent of my young daughter (8 to 12) while in the military. I tried to provide a good loving home life for both of us. I also believed in setting rules and taking responsibility for breaking them. Communication, personal respect for each other and accountability was the rule in our home along with a loving relationship. Personal Responsibility and Accountability is most important. Punishment was rare, but it was also part of our life. The paddle was for major incidents and that was only a couple swats on the behind. I think I had to use the paddle only three or four times. Luckily, I found a wonderful lady who came into our lives about the time Vickie began asking questions that Dads are uncomfortable answering. She is now married, a nurse, with two college degrees, working in the emergency room of a major hospital in Denver. Years later, she told me the paddle didn't hurt and was almost a joke, but she was hurt and felt bad because she knew it hurt me more. Yes, I am very proud of my little girl. Rich

Hey guys I bought the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Flight Stick based on your comments. I have used it about four days and it is fantastic, good advise. Maybe someone can help me out. After flying with out of the box, I decided to try the rudder slider and program some of the buttons. Everyone of them worked with OFF except the elevator trim (up & down). I tried with MS Flight Sim 2004, worked with the new program buttons. Next tried to use the programed buttons CFS 3 but it would not allow me to program any buttons it CFS 3. I could use it as it come out of the box, but I would really like to program some of the button. What am I doing wrong? Need a little help. Thanks Rich

Herr Prop-Wasche , I got home about 02:30 this morning. It was about 2000 mile round trip for me and my friend Dallas, this was our third time at the event. 2007 was the best year for the weather. The displays, full scale airplanes, the re-enactors, old cars and many beautiful scale RC airplanes made the trip worth the drive. I flew my 1/4 scale Sopwith Pup and a 1/3 scale Fokker Eindecker. At events like this you meet and make friends from all across the country. The next event will be in 2014 commemorate the beginning of WW I. Dallas and I are planning to attend. Wonderful Event Rich
