  1. Here's an interesting campaign idea The Strategic Air Command was the most powerful military organization ever to exist, on 31 May 1992 it was ordered to shutdown What if SAC had refused the order? As a TAC pilot you'll have to intercept bombers, strike at SAC installations and hunt and kill Looking Glass As a SAC bomber you'll have strike at TAC bases, Army and Marine positions, etc. Furthermore SAC FB-111's would be "hastily" outfitted for air to air combat in order to escort bombers and intercept TAC strike aircraft.
  2. The idea is that it's not an exersize and nobody is "playing" Ruskie, overall when the Pentagon put a bullet in SAC's brain there was alot of negative feelings by SAC personnel. This scenario explores the hypothetical of if those feelings had devolved into beliefs of betrayal and treason (the view being that SAC's canning by the Chief's is giving aid and comfort to a potential aggressor)
  3. SAC bombers were very good at ECM and fequently NORAD had to call Sierra Juliet (stop jamming) during exersizes because they couldn't recover their fighters I agree that the FB-111's won't last, it's a desperation move by the SAC side. If one wants, those states that were reliant on SAC facilities for their local economies could have their ANG units "defect" to the SAC side
