Turning off FFB

S!, I have a MS FFB2 and I'm wanting to turn off the FFB. After adding the patch to WoE, I've noticed that I have to crawl under my desk and disco the FFB2 for a minute or so before FFB will return after exiting WoE. I hate having to do this simple procedure to fly IL2. If I don't, the stick has no tension and just flops around making for some very sloppy flying. Any help? TIA, HB
