Fubar512 I have the "SF2V Air & Ground War Expansion Pack v2.0 Gold" downloaded, & I think, installed correctly. However, I do not seem to be getting those kind of terrain & sky textures. When I am running SF2V, is there an easy way to tell if the "SF2V Air & Ground War Expansion Pack v2.0 Gold" is being used by the sim? Bob -

"Mod" Folder For Air & Ground Expansion Pack, SP2V
BobWard posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I just installed SP2V and have downloaded the Air & Ground Expansion Pack v2. I have read the Readme file and it instructs one to drop the contents of the "To Mod Folder" into the SP2V Mod Folder. I am running Win7 Pro. There is no "Mod" folder anywhere in my SP2V directory. I see the Core, DX redist, Flight, manual, Menu, etc sub-folders, but no Mod folder. I must have overlooked something. Can someone steer me in the right direction? Thanks, Bob -
"Mod" Folder For Air & Ground Expansion Pack, SP2V
BobWard replied to BobWard's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Ok, I think I understand. I just drop the expansion pack files in the Thirdwire directory where all the rest of the subfolders are. I did read that note in the Readme but I was not understanding it correctly - I was still looking for a Mod folder. Thanks guys - much appreciated. Bob -
"Mod" Folder For Air & Ground Expansion Pack, SP2V

Thanks for the reply. I found the Thirdwire directory, but the only sub-directories under it were: Controls, Missions, Objects, Pilot Data, & Screenshots. There were some sub-directories under these folders but nothing called Mods. Have I somehow messed up the SP2V install? Bob -
I want to thank everyone for the kind words and warm reception to the forum. I really enjoyed my 7 years as a USAF pilot. As I was telling Dave, it was probably the most fun and exciting 7-years of my life. It was one of those jobs that you couldn't believe you were getting paid to do. The only reason that I got out was that I did not want to spend the rest of my career moving my family to a new location every 3 or 4 years. Plus, I wanted to stay put as an everyday operational pilot, rather than being pushed up the promotional ladder to less and less flying time. Anyway, it was a great experience and one that I can get re-immersed in (40-years later) with these great flight sims and realistic controls that we have available. Thanks again & I will see you all around the forum. Bob

USAFMTL, Be happy to answer any questions. However, I am not sure how the PM feature works. Never used that before. Bob
