  1. Suggestions for an Armor Sim?

I bought WARGASM back in 1998 and am still playing it today. Although the models aren't of the super detailed type, the physics and movement of the vehicles along with the varied environments make up for it. The super bright muzzle flashes and the well animated expoding vehicles are still an unmatched feature with even newer tank sims. If only the models could be updated and newer terrains added I wouldn't need to look for a higher end computer system just to play Armed Assault, Frontlines: Fuel of War, ...etc. Or add some walking mechs. I'm still waiting for the day when I can combine different features from different games into one tank simulation. I doubt if there is a software geek out there who could write such a program though. Darn it!
  2. We can see that Russia still looks at the West as its enemy. Russia has created military alliances with China. Russia has made military and economic alliances with the worlds terrorist supporting countries of Iran and Syria. Their long term goals are to appose the West, such as the EU and US. Russia changed the old guard from the USSR in 1991 but has never changed its view of the West as its enemy. Russia and China has since updated their military arsenal, with help from the Wests so-called global economy, and is in the process of updating their satellite countries that can afford it. Arming our allies with missile defence shields wouldn't have been necesary if Russia and China weren't arming countries with offensive missile technologies along with nuclear refining capabilities. Nuclear proliferation is being facilitated by Russian and Chinese technical know how. The only way the US has helped in this process is due to duel use technologies given to Russia and China during the 1990's. Iran has been at war with the US and Israel since the 1980s and threw in their chips with Russia in 1991. Which is why we can't do anything to Iran without incurring the wrath of Russia. If anybody ever looks at what is between Russia and Iran can easily figure out why the Russians are in Chechnya, South Ossetia, Abkhazia, and recently invaded Georgia, where they still are. Gee, I wonder why they would do all that? The last thing I'll ever hear is anybody accusing Russia of a blood for oil war. If anyone wants to blame the USA for the Russian rape of Georgia then go ahead, make my day. I like to set people straight on the facts.
  3. Some how this doesn't make me feel any better. How long before they correct this mechanical failure and be able to launch low-orbit payloads? Will it take a year, a month, or a week? With the Russians defiant with the UN on withdrawing from Georgia and their military/economic alliance with the Iranians it looks like we are about to get CHANGE whether Obama gets elected or not. It is now just a matter of when it will hit the fan and how much of it will come this way.
  4. Has anyone tried this

Guess what I'm going to get next for my computer?
  5. Has anyone tried this

Type in "wearable computer" and let the search engine give the results. There are many products out there. Check this one: -Video Glasses- Or type in "augmented reality", or "haptic device". But this is probably what you're thinking about: -Youtube Video- Vuzix VR920 Virtual Reality Goggles for $400USD: -Watch Video-
  6. The Russians pathetic temper tantrum about the United States helping countries such as Poland, Czechoslovakia, has shown the world that they are still fighting the Cold War. It has shown the world that Russia considers the United States, the EU, NATO as their enemies. Iran's launch of a satellite helps prove this assertion. Especially immediately following Russia's invasion of Georgia in order to send a 'message' to their enemies in the West. The Russian transition from the USSR to its present government hasn't fullfilled the aspirations of the global economy of the New World Order. In fact, it has shown its most major flaw of its' ineptness to prevent these last two ominous events. 7. I'm still looking for information on which missile vehicle was used to transport their payload into orbit. It would be interesting to see whose country contributed to giving this technology to the Iranians. You know, just in case one of those satellites accidentally falls onto someone elses country.
  8. In case this momentous event has glossed over many, let me remind everyone what happened when the USSR launched its first satellite called Sputnik into orbit. When they were capable of launching an object into orbit it also meant they were capable of launching a nuclear warhead and dropping it anywhere on the planet. I don't find that a bit amusing if they now have this capability. So what was the delivery vehicle and what was the weight of the satellite?

  11. Georgia moves against separatists

It is interesting to see stories of how masterful Putin has been at Checkmating the West but then I also remember the same being said about someone in 1938. It isn't about how it begins but how it will end. It ain't over yet. Two US Air Force supply planes land in Tbilisi Thursday. Story -HERE- Russians are working frantically to create two narrow security belts 300-500 meters deep along the South Ossetian and Abkhazian borders with Georgia. Story -HERE-
  12. Georgia moves against separatists

I'm no spring chicken so when I read some of the propaganda masquerading as 'facts' I get kinda irritated. If you've read books such as George Orwell's 1984 you might see the parrallel here. The Russians are the aggressors here and they are the ones presently conducting an invasion of a sovereign nation with well defined territorial borders which aren't irrelevent to anyone except the international criminals conducting their own crimes against humanity. The ridiculous statement that they are conducting a disarmament operation of Georgia is as ludicrous as calling the Russian invasion forces 'peace-keepers'. Frankly, I haven't heard a thing from the UN and believe their effectiveness is about equal to the League of Nations in 1939. History will tell of how Russia got the ball rolling that led to World War Three. Masterful, truly masterful. Does anyone have any up to date info that isn't from a state run media outlet? Other then Michael Binyon who has sided with the russians?
  13. Georgia moves against separatists

This is the annexation of Georgia by Russia. They are in the process of taking over Poti, which is Georgia's main port and where one of the offshoot pipeline ends. There isn't a doubt that one of the strategic goals is the control of gas and oil pipelines that traverse the region. The Bear seems to have licked his wounds since 1991 and is now healthy enough to roam and maul anyone he pleases. Russia says Georgian territorial integrity is irrelevant. I wonder what other countries does Russia consider having irrelevant territorial integrity? -Story Here- Russian Calls the Operation Finished, 'Inexistent' Tanks Remain in Poti -Story Here-
  14. Georgia moves against separatists

I thought I heard the Russians were destroying Georgian ships at their Black Sea port. Moving their forces into western Georgia towards the Black Sea. Maybe taking over Ajaria which has half their population as Muslim. This ain't over by a long shot yet. 15. Georgia moves against separatists

That's exactly what I used to say about Pelosi. Makes me wonder where some of their ideas come from. But speaking of clowns, it's funny that Adolf Hitler wrote Mein Kampf (My Struggle) and Vladimir Zhirinovsky came out with a book titled "My Struggle". Just how do these clowns get people to take them seriously anyway?
  16. Georgia moves against separatists

I'll consider this a full dressed rehearsal to future operations. The Russians have always desired a warm port to the south. Vladimir Zhrinovsky wrote in The Last Dash to the South: "Let Russia successfully accomplish its last "dash" to the south. I see Russian soldiers gathering for this last southern campaign... I see places at air bases in the southern districts of Russia."-Link to quote--Link to info here- RUSSIA'S "LAST DASH TO THE SOUTH" -Link to Article-
  17. Georgia moves against separatists

The Georgian military that I've seen wear USMC Marpat cammies along with assorted other patterns. U.S. Marines helped train some of the Georgian military personel in Iraq. I've heard of a statue of Bush was erected somewhere in Georgia. Thousands of Americans had to be evacuated from Georgia due to the Russian invasion still active there today. I see how people like to say the Cold War is over but the distrust between Russia and the West is still active and apparent in this latest military venture. I put to you how to explain the number of Russian military units poised to enter Georgia that first day. The excuses used when Germany entered the Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia in 1938 and Russia entering South Ossetia of Georgia in 2008 seem to have been virtually the same. We'll just have to wait to see how successful the Russians were or if in fact they failed. This guy said the Georgians ambushed and shot up a Russian Battalion in Tskhinvali?
  18. Georgia moves against separatists

For some of us who can't figure out why some people won't distinguish between Russia invading Georgia and the U.S. liberating an oppressed people living under tyranny here is a good video explanation here: I found it to be very enlightening and of course it doesn't apply to everyone.
  19. Georgia moves against separatists

A more accurate example would be - did the Union North have a right to fight or invade the Confederate South? Remember South Ossetia is inside the recognized territory of Georgia. The International Community doesn't recognize South Ossetia as an independent or sovereign nation.
  20. Georgia moves against separatists

What gets me is the label "Peace Keeping Forces" given to the Russian invasion forces moving into Georgia. The Georgian forces were pursueing S. Ossetian rebel forces into South Ossetia which is internationally recognized as a territory within Georgia. Seems like now the real invaders are in fact Russian. The Russians are targeting positions and airfields within Georgia. For reasons probably linked to the previous stories I've linked to.
  21. Georgia moves against separatists

Probably no more ignorant then other countries from what I've seen. South Ossetia has the support of the Russian government which has provided S. Ossetians with Russian passports. I previously posted some information that gives some insight into what the overall strategy is that's guiding the recent tactical moves by the Russians. Just in case anyone wants to know the rest of the Geopolitical story here.

Click on this link: Visit this website Scroll down for english to the "World Top Oil" graphic of highest producers. Russia's current economic and military alliance may be one reason why it would push to link through this land bridge that Chechnya, North-South Ossetia, and Georgia occupy. Does anyone know of the status of the Chechnya war? North-South Ossetia have groups who speak an Iranian dialect. Can anyone see an overall strategic goal here? Georgia seems to be sharing the same fate that Poland did in 1939. Except we all know what happened after that, don't we? Orientation link: Go Here
  25. Georgia moves against separatists

Does anyone yet know what exactly the events were in timeline order to this conflict? No, I didn't think so. The first thing I saw today were Russian tanks moving into South Ossetia. Now I'm hearing something about Russian forces moving into Georgia? I couldn't say with any certainty of who started what, but then I haven't heard any reliable intelligence either. My first instinct doesn't favor the Russians though from a historical perspective. Nor would I believe any news coming from any Russian media outlet. Maybe just because of a recent rash of assasinations of anyone critical of the Russian government. Oh, and that little thing about them building all those nuclear facilities for the sponsors of terrorism as well sworn enemies of Israel and the United States of America. Have they delivered those top of the line offensive aircraft to Iran yet? Anybody remember how they went right ahead and took over that airport without authorization from the rest of the peace keepers? Was that Bosnia or Kosovo? Anyway, would Georgia be in the way for the Russian plan to build a pipeline through the region? Gee, that just maybe but hey they are our friends now so if they say Georgia started it then who are we to say anything different? You know what? The more I hear people say there has been change, or there's going to be change, the more I see how everything... always... stays the same.
