PG is currently looking for a webmaster. We are looking for someone who has experience with flash/postnuke, or is willing to learn. PG is a collection of like minded flight simulation fans who fly operations within several combat simulators (CFS3 etc) and are now starting operations within the LOMAC environment. PG aims to have wings flying all the flyable aircraft types that LOMAC has to offer. We ask that you have a sensible, mature attitude towards the Sqn, our friends, and our 'adverseries' alike. It is the aim of PG to supply its pilots with an immersive flying environment within LOMAC. There will be more to us than just furballing! Missions will be tailored to allow on or offline flying, training sessions arranged and just plain old flying for fun! If you are interested in joining, please contact me at pg_raptor@hotmail.com.

Every Lock-on Fan Should Read This - Lock On Missi

Wow, that sounds really cool. I can't wait till August... (when I can buy my own computer) -
What he said :) Also, this helps you organize your files a lot easier. Here's the basic layout of most, not all, aircraft installation: A zip contains three folders: Aircraft Effects Guages Uninstall the files into a temp folder. The files in the Effects folder go into the FS9 effects folder, generally located at C:\Program Files\FS9\Effects. The files in the guages folder go into the FS9 guages folder, generally located at C:\Program Files\FS9\Guages. In the zipped aircraft folder, you will there should be a subfolder which has the name of the plane. That gets copied into your C:\Program Files\FS9\Aircraft folder. That should be good for most aircraft. I, however, like to go into the FS9 Aircraft folder and create a new folder, and rename it to "~*****". I use the ~ to easily differentiate it as an addon, and not stock. That keeps in neat and clean. Then, I put the name of the aircraft in (in place of the *****) as I would understand it, such as "~F-14" rather than the original "f14dvf133" or whatever. Then, I make sure to copy the Model, Sound, Texture, and Panel folders, along with the aircraft.cfg file into that renamed folder. I hoped this helped, and I didn't confuse you too much :)

Whats that new hardware? Make sure you do a complete uninstall of the file. You might also want to use Norton to quarentine it before you do. Also, I think there's a way you can go to a system backup and reboot your system to the way it was before that file was downloaded. Maybe not. Anyways, definatly quarentine the file with Norton, at least.

Heh, that's ironic. The university I'll be going to to study aviation (University of North Dakota, majoring in Commercial Aviation) also has the Division I ice hockey champions, lol.

You sure this won't air in the US? that sounds like a really good lineup to watch.

Wow, that thing can turn! I wouldn't want that thing on my tail... A few of those explosions look Hollywoodified though...

No you don't. I've never had to do that with any addon to any MS flight sim, unless specifically stated in the addons readme. As for the original post, make sure you have deleted everything when you uninstall. manually check and make sure the directory has been deleted. Then try reinstalling (full version, not the one where it leaves files on the cd). If that doesn't work, you've stumped me, lol.

You know, I'm not so sure that it does. I mean, yes, some is needed, deffinatly. I think this kind of stupid stuff is rather hyped up by the media though. If you look at the gun discussion we had a few weeks ago, you'll notice the same thing. People overreact, the media picks up on it and decides this is what everyone wants to hear about. While its sad that this kind of stuff happens, I'd hardly call it nationally newsworthy.

Yeah, practice. and they take a lot less time and fuel than having to do full stop landings.

Good thing this site is more mature than SimHQ than :D What MJ said is right, as is what dagger said. A lack of common sense mixed with hyperactive fears creates situations like this. I mean, heck, I've been flying sims for at least 8 years, I was 9 yo then. FS95. I started flying lessons when I was 14. WOO!!! scary! not. On the political side, this will be my first election I'll be able to vote in. Being a conservative, you know who I'll vote for...

Hey all! Lets get a thread going about good addons FS2004. Please post links, pictures, etc. Just to keep it on topic, lets try to keep the discussion to a minimum, and keep to the links. I'll start: Kirk Olsson's F-16: http://63.217.28.218/$files/1military/USVIPER.zip http://www.simviation.com/fs2004military2.htm

I downloaded this great scenery from simviation.com. It's a highly detailed map altitude map of the Canadian rockies in Alberta/BC. It's absolutly beautiful! Rockies Rockies Update

Cool! can you get a pic of it? -
well, here's my first attempt at a repaint in FS2004. It's a version of a Piper Warrior II from the University of North Dakota. While it doesn't have any weathering, they keep their planes in pretty tip top shape, so its quite ok for it to look like it does :) http://www.geocities.com/pgraptor3

Here's a crowbar to wedge that foot that's lodged so tightly in your mouth... LOL!!! -
Roger Wilco is an oldie. I havn't used it in a long time though, so I'm not sure how well it works now. I've been using teamspeak for a while, and I havn't had any problems with garbles and such. just make sure everyone has tested their equipment online and made correct adjustments before they use it for a game. oh, and annunciate ;)

Awesome Video!
PG_Raptor replied to PG_Raptor's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
Yeah, I agree. That's the worst part of the movie. But it shows the flame effects nice, lol. As for not being able to play it, make sure you have the latest codecs. and the latest DivX version. -
got a link?

lol. That reminds me of another guy I saw on TV. He kind of reverse juggled some bouncy balls, instead of throwing, he bounced them. Then he bounced them on his big ol' keyboard that played notes when the ball hit them. He played twinkle twinkle little star and looked like he was having to concentrate hard. You know, the audience began to clap, then he whipped out like 3 more balls (5 or 6 in all) and started playing William Tell Ovature or something like that, lol. It was pretty sweet.
