KU? KU sucks, even back in '93. They used to be good, and used to suck a basketball. KSU used to be bad at football, but really good at basketball. now they've switched. And speaking of KSU football, Texas is going to get rolled all over by K-State. We lost to Marshall (man, our guys were sucking...), but I bet anything they won't let it happen again. Texas is going down

Yeah, KC rolled all over Houston. Todd, where do you live? In kansas? Missou?

I've got a technical problem. I'm trying to play some of my .avi videos, but they won't play on either WMP or QuickTime. Something about "error downloading codecs"? Help please? P.S. Some work, others dont. Lets see, the ones 4/29/03 and later work, the ones 12/7/02 and before dont (none in between, at least in that folder).

Yeah, I got an email form madjeffs addy saying that I had a private message. Than I come here, and it says I have no new messages. Am I missing something?
-
That's ok, I didn't really read the email I saw "You have a message" and deleted it.

Sept. 11, 2001. I was at school. We came in from marching band, and went to our second hour classes. When we got in there, our teacher was like "Has anyone heard about the WTC being hit?" and since it was a computer class, we all got on the internet and looked for info. Since it was still early, we didn't find much. I persoannly thought it was a little cessna or something. I actually found it funny. Then 4th hour came, and I was talking to some girl in my hour, about how i thought it was some stupid joke, until she said, and I can still quote her. "They've fallen. The WTC is all rubble now." THAT was when it hit me that this was serious. Our class went to the cafeteria, where they had a couple TVs set up for us to watch. That was where I first saw what had happened, and saw the towers collapse. I don't think I've ever seen so many kids (mind you, a school of about 2000) so quiet and attentive. The rest of the day was filled with rumors, kids crying, people taking about their parents/siblings/other relatives in NYC. Once at home, I spent time with my squad mates in CFS1. Pretty much no one was flying, there was an unofficial "No fly night" that night. What a night. .

Jesus Built my Hotrod lomac F15 Video
PG_Raptor replied to a topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
That would be great, except that its only downloading at 5-6 Kb/sec... Hey MrMudd, when can we expect that other video? -
Hey MadJeff, I have a couple questions for you... Whats your experience with webpage design? How hosts this site (like who did you buy the domain name from)? how much of the site was created by that company (like format, pics ideas and such)? I'm just wondering, cause I need to get to work on my own LOMAC website, and I really like the way yours is set up.
-
riiiiiiight.... Postnuke huh? That's a web development program, right? I guess I could look for it on Google and answer the questions myself :D Did you use any HTML or JavaScript, or anythgn like that? Back when I played CFS1, I created a site for my squad using HTML, which I am still quite proud of http://www.geocities.com/pgraptor but I dont think that kind of a setup is what I want to do with my LOMAC site. I think what I really want to do is beyond me and my high schooler income :) Anyways, Thanks for answering. I'll see what I can do...

My thoughts on the demo, feel free to disagree
PG_Raptor posted a topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
This will be my only thread on this topic. I beleive the pushing the demo back is a good idea. I've been following LOMAC for about a year now, and I am not surprised. UBI Soft is a company, and most companies are here to make as large of a profit as possible. With this new strategy, I think they will reach a MUCH larger community than possible with just putting the demo on the site. I will wait, and I will be glad to pay my $60 for the full game, whenever it comes out. In regard to all the people complaining and claiming to leave, I beleive most of them will be back within a month, yelling at Matt for a release date on the demo... again. A few will download the demo when it comes out, and not say anything on the boards again. I doubt any will actually never buy LOMAC because the demo being pushed back. Many who say they won't, will. In all, I think all the UBI has done is create a temorary inconveiniance that will go away very soon. -
Hey, simviation.com has a bunch of fixes for aircraft textures in FS2004. They put the best textures on the plane, no matter what your MIP setting is at. They look really good, and so far I havn't noticed a big hit on fps, maybe a frame or two at the most. Look under FS2004 Props and Civil Jets in the downloads section. Oh, and one other thing, does anyone know how to get the water textures to look better? either in the game or through a third-party download?
-
Ok, perhaps I should explain what I did, than maybe you can correct me or something. Once downloaded and unziped, I ran the setup program. I installed it in C:...FS2004Addon SceneryOceanFX2. It created the Documentation, Images, and Zip Files folders, with their respective stuff. I then put oceansfx.zip and oceanstx.zip into the Zip Files folder. I then ran OceanFX.exe. Once that came up, I put in the path for FS2004, set a waveset, set a direction, set a corresponding swell direction, and seafloor appearance, and hit install. I got the confirmation that it had been installed. I installed with every combonation I could think of. Now, is there somethign I missed, or need to change? Or have I stumped you? :D

lol, oh, all the sudden you offer appolgies, now that he's a Marine, not in the Air Force? While I realize many people say the AF is easier than most other branches, it is still a crucal part of the Military as a whole. So, make fun of them all you want, just don't lose site of thier importance :) -
Hey guys, can I have some more help on this? Thanks!

I quite taken with this shot! She is just beautiful! I have always loved the White with Red Letter paint scheme on the Budweiser Trucks! HA! HAHAHAHA!!!

Being a WWII sim pilot and a current student (I should be getting my license soon!), I know a lot about the theory of flight and other aspects of flying. One spot that I am sore at though is modern jet fighter avionics. Can anyone give me a link that explains the different types of, say, radar modes and sweeps, the advantages and disadvantages of each, and a lot of other stuff that has to do with fighter avionics? I'll be learning with the demo as fast as I can, but I'd like to have at least an idea of what I'm doing... Thanks!

neg, you're wrong. The lights are all correct. With the shutter open long enough, all of those lights are correct. Whats incorrect is the blackout area. First, if you look close enough, you can see the PSing done to it. Second, it doesn't cover the whole area affected byt the blackout. And third, the real picture of the blackout from space (I think you can find it in last weeks Time magazine) has some lights in the blackout area, just not as bright as normal. Just a question MadJeff, where do you live? Cause even though there may be misconceptions about life out here in the midwest, there many cities and towns, roads, in other words more lights than you think.

actually, the FS2004 model is kinda difficult. Its really hard to turn 9especially with the headwind) and elevators are really sensative. I was able to get it to the water though :)
