Anyone know what happened to the Hornet?
-
I've only tried the demo, so you can take my comments with a grain of salt. I thought it was good, but nothing special. It still seemed scripted to me. I dont' think I can really explain, but it just felt a little... cramped. It was definatly different in a good way, though. Good idea, just not tops. I'd like to see if someone can take this idea and create something great from it.

What I love about this is that he posts this in hope to shame this guy. I'm sure about every member of the military agrees with him, and the far majority of the public.

just so you know, he's gonna be using a Thrustmaster Couger for the joystick.

THAT... is awesome! Great shot!

Been watching this build. Although I havn't really been able to understand how it's all to look in the end. Worklog: http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=862177

I really hate to wish someone dead, but good ridance. Anyone who wants to leave others dead for the sake of taxes deserves it himself.

Hahaha, that's great! Very nice job getting those planes in the exact right positions!

$200... alrighty then! I would suggest: Radeon 9800Pro - Sapphire - $142 GeForce 6600GT - XFX - $154 (mail-in rebate), eVGA - $163 (mail-in rebate) GeForce 6800 - XFX - $204 (mail-in rebate), eVGA - $199 (mail-in rebate) I'm also assuming your looking for AGP and not PCIe, and this is why you don't see any X700s on there (on par with the 6600 GT). If not, correct me, and I'll find some other cards for ya. On these cards, it all depends on how much you want to spend. I would, of course recommend the 6800. However, if you don't want to spend that much, the 6600GT would be my next choice. Personally, I've got a 6800GT and it is awesome. Whatever you decide though, you'll probably be happy with any of these cards. They will all perform much better than what you've got now. EDIT: Some other stuff I thought about. All of the cards are linked are 128 Mb. If you can find the same cards with 256, and it's still in your price range, that is another option. Second, always shop around before buying. Lots of online stores have specials and such going on. My personal favorites are NewEgg and ZipZoomFly (very fast (and free: ) shipping!). However, it doesn't seem your from the USA, so look for a reputable company in your area. Have fun with your research!

are you kidding? tons!!! However, there are (or should be) better cards out there nowadays for about the same amount of cash. What's your budget for a new card?
-
Have you got the original shot? as in the real picture?
-
Ok... how'd you do it? Ahh, never mind. I can see the descrepencies. Nice edit, though!
-
dang dude, how much time do you have on your hands?
-
Yeah, I certainly can't confirm the validity of the description (sounded fishy to me too). But I thought you guys might like the pics.

Ok, guys, I'm starting to get back into FS2004 again. I want several planes, but the problem is that now that I've got a kick butt computer, I want some kickbutt freeware to go with it. If you've got any good downloads, preferably with a fully functional VC, I would be most thankful.

I would think that, being a trainer aircraft, it would be good if one pulled, then both go. That way, if the trainer deems that it is no longer safe in the aircraft, that the student isn't left there by himself. But I know nothing about this kind of stuff, it just seems to make sense that way.

I guess I'll go ahead and start it up. I found a Howard 500 on flightsim.com. Incredible plane. Much better than then even the default aircraft, and it's got a wonderful vc. Search for hw5vc4.zip on flightsim.

Glad you're on the team Yyrd! Hope you can help keep these guys in line ;)

"...and at this point in the flight, I realised that I might have entered a spin." "I wanted to get the ol' Stang '46, but the wife made me go for a C-47 cause 'it's family friendly'." *mumbers under breath*

Oh... My... God... "Our problem is this: the military is a lifestyle these morons chose. What idiot risks their life for a country? It's what they chose. Forsake our Troops! They must think that if they go to war, they don't need to pay taxes just......just like the rest of us." Always money over... well, in this guys case, humanity. We pay taxes to our country and live in peace, they risk their life to protect us while not paying taxes. Which is the better bargain?
