  1. OT: Attention Fantasy RPG Fans

Hey! No fair hijacking your hijacked thread Hellshade! I haven't been one for fantasy type games since my early teenage years. This, however, is one impressive looking game. Thanks for all the links and research Hellshade. It is now on my list of games to watch very closely. So...uh... anyone play Silent Storm? Ratatat
  2. Never heard of this film

Well done! Even though the outcome was never in doubt, I was still on the edge of my seat! That P47 was a tough, old bird! Any more videos like this one? Ratatat
  3. OT: Attention Fantasy RPG Fans

Anyone play Silent Storm? I bought the Gold edition a few years ago ( comes with the add-on Silent Storm Sentinels ). Great game. Perhaps the best of the X-Com" clone" games to come out. It's set in 1943. The ability to destroy the entire environment is a blast and very impressive for it's time. Heck, it's still impressive now! Ratatat
  4. Cool game you've got going Hellshade. I'm enjoying it! You must have a horseshoe hidden you know where!:wink2: Ratatat
  5. That looked absolutely stunning! Is it my eyes, the map, or did they remove the green filter? I'll have to try the demo for this game again. Hellshade, is there any more news on the sequel? Ratatat
  6. OFF P4 SCENERY

In my best Keanu Reeves voice..."Whoah!"
  7. @Wodin...this forum is the only one I am a member of. Other forums I just like to have a lurk. I've been lurking at the Battlefront forum for over 10 years now. That must be some sort of record I think! BBC Battlefield Academy is the nice surprise game for me for 2010. Great fun! It scratches the WW2 strategy itch while I wait for CM:BN.
  8. More popular than I realized

    Jolly good show Hellshade!
  9. Paul Blum's story... the books...now these beautiful medals... you are amazing Lou! Your passion for this subject is awe inspiring! Simply 1st rate work on these. I am downloading now. Thank you for all your hard work! It is greatly appreciated! Ratatat
  10. Ooooh! This looks really good! Elephant, do you know if it is available in English?
  11. My picks... 1. OFF Phase 4 ( naturally ) 2. Combat Mission: Battle for Normandy 3. Cliffs of Dover IL 2 4. Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad It appears Wodin and I were separated at birth! While there's nothing announced yet for 2011 I would also add any BBC Battlefield Academy expansion ( Eastern Front or perhaps the Pacific ). I'd also like to add another Brothers in Arms game to my collection. I recently downloaded Earned in Blood off Steam and just love it, even if the graphics are dated it is excellent for skirmish play. Nothing else quite like it. Love it! Ratatat
  12. OT I've got an Interview

Good luck WM! A toast to your success!
  13. Best wishes to you and your mom, Olham. I will double my efforts shooting down the foe until you can return to duty! All the best, Ratatat
  14. Awards system

OH, MY! I'm away for a little while and come back to see these wonderful pieces of art! Beautiful job Paarma! P4 is going to be an absolute stunner for sure!
  15. I agree with elephant. I foresee many patches in Cliffs of Dover's future if it actually releases when they say it will. I've been looking forward to this game for a long time too. But I'm worried about the "completed" state this game will be in judging from what I've seen and read on forums. I'll be very disappointed if there isn't a German campaign. I want to fly one of those yellow-nosed b*st*rds!
  16. Happy New Year...

Happy New Year Slartibartfast! Cheers to all where ever you may be! Ratatat

Hi Carrick58, See Uncleal's thread "What's available these days?" for an ongoing discussion about good tank games. Cheers! Ratatat
  19. Just wanted to say thank you

Greetings Kiteman! You'll discover OFF is an outstanding game that also enjoys a very friendly forum. Since the eggnog is out I'll have mine with a splash of rum, thank you, hold the 'nog. Bottoms up! Ratatat
  20. OT - Commander

If you haven't already, another great game to check out at Slitherine is BBC Battlefield Academy. It's WWII and is a blast to play! I'm a Combat Mission and Panzer General fan and this game is the first in a long, long time to grab me the way those games did. Don't let its cartoonish look throw you off ( part of its charm actually ) it can be a real nail biter. Admittedly, it's been distracting me from playing OFF. Shameful I know. Ratatat
  21. AWESOME!!! :good: Merry Christmas to everyone! Ratatat
  22. I thought I'd share some fun games I recently discovered on the internet. When you're away from OFF because your at the office give these a try: Dogfighter The Great War Dogfighter 2 The Great War ( Play as the Germans this time - also some added features and graphics ) This next one doesn't feature biplanes, but is really quite neat. It is turn based with simultaneous action. More of a thinkers game as opposed to the action games above. It is called SteamBirds. The way it works reminds me a little of the table-top game "Wings of War" ( also a really fun game if you've never tried it! ). I didn't post links ( not sure if that is allowed ) but if you type those in to Google your bound to find them. Enjoy! Ratatat
