  1. Well all is working good now , the problem was the position of the cockpit in 3ds max . Thanks for the advice was just what i needed

  3. Ahh i see what you mean now hehe , i was unsure about this setting so i used the pilot position entry lol . could you tell me how i find out the correct position for the cokpit thanks .

  6. Hi there , well i started to make some changes as you suggested to the hokum . After compairing photo's to the model i could certainly see the errors so the right side near to the 30mm has been thinned out the most plus the left side has also been chaged and straight away it looks a lot better to me , thanks again for your input .
  7. Hi all , well after having some computer issues recently i seem to have finally fixed it :) so now maybe i can get back to some good stuff . I'm still finding it tricky to uv map the models i'm working on and always end up skinning it using an easy method i've found although the results are not the best lol . So i was wondering if anyone out there has any good and helpful tips in this area , i've been through a lot of tutorials but still not cracked it yet . Here are a few screenies of 2 things i would like to take further but both models will need the uv mapping sorted before i can progress .

  10. Hi all , was just wondering if someone could confirm for me my scud mod is working ok . I have a test mission which i used for the mlrs and the scud , both units function ok in this test mission but i could do with a bit more feedback on how they are performing , thanks in advance
  11. The test mission i use is nothing more than a few friendly units and a few enemy units ( scuds ) in fairly close proximity . The scuds launch on the friendly units and the frinedlys attack the scuds , I'll make a better test mission and pass it on . Hmm interesting idea Lexx i will have a go with very long range firing and see what results i get , will let you know .

  13. Yup most of the time a scud launches straight up but i did find a few pics on the net of scuds firing at an angle hehe . The angle of the launcher can be altered through the data.ini for the scud and this is where i fall short as some of the data.ini i'm still to get to grips with . If anyone can improve any of my work feel free to as i am still in the learning process myself and any help would be greatly appreciated , thanks .

  20. Hmm funny you mention the Patriot system , i have been racking my branes trying to get 1 missile to shoot another down but as yet no good results . If anyone has thoughts on this plz share would be cool to have patriots defending bases against the scuds .
  21. I had to make a new model for the launcher and missile , there's not too much to finish off so i'll try get on it this week and upload when finished .
  22. I started testing a working scud not long ago .

Yup thats what i mean , if i leave the view mode set to ( view ) and change the pivot points when in game its messed up but if i change the view mode to local and do my pivot changes they are all good . I'm not sure if this is still something i have to do because of a setting or not but seems to work ok so i'm in no rush to change this .
  24. I have been through the notes many times in the past but couldn't remeber it saying about the local and view modes .
  25. I seem to have to set my pivot points when in (local) view , if i set in (view) view then they are not correct in game , maybe it is same for you .
