Weapon Data Editor Instructions?
airwolf posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
I have just downloaded the Weapon Data Editor v02.20.08 for WoV, WoE, WoI and FE. Some of the add-on aircraft and skins require it. There is no readme or any instruction on how to install or use it. Does anyone know how to install or use it? Thank you for your help. -
Weapon Data Editor Instructions?

Thank you very much guys, I found it. I appreciate it. -
Hello to those of you who are fans of the awesome payware Razbam Skyraider for Wings Over Vietnam. I remember there was a Vietnam paint texture set for the Razbam A-1E (side by side seating) in the past and I have downloaded it before. Now I am reinstalling WoV and the Razbam A-1E after a hard drive burnout and I tried to find that skin set for it, but I cannot find it. I did a search for it, but I found everything else A-1H & A-1J, but no A-1E. Does anyone know where it is? Is it still available? I already have the awesome Vietnam skin sets for the Razbam A-1H & A-1J Skyraiders Vol. 2. and I would love to have the A-1E skins again. Thank you very much.

Categorize Thirdwire Downloads for SFP1, WOV, WOE & WOI.
airwolf posted a topic in Site Support / Bug Reports / Suggestions
I would like to make a suggestion for the download section for the Thirdwire series sims for SFP1, WOV, WOE, & WOI. Currently, all of the categories such as: aircraft, skins, cockpits, sounds, missions and campaigns are all in one pile of 700 entries. I had to explore and browse through all of the pages which is very time consuming. I suggest all of these files of aircraft, skins, cockpits, sounds, missions and campaigns be placed in separate categories to make it easier to browse through the download files similar to the download section of Thirdwire First Eagles. Thank you, I appreciate it. -
Whadda Mean HSFX v4 "disc2?"
airwolf posted a topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: Mods & Skinning Chat
Hello IL-2: 1946 fans out there. I have a problem maybe anyone of you may know the answer. I am having trouble installing the HSFX v4 mod. I have IL-2: 1946 patched to 4.08m and 4.09m. I have downloaded all the files for the HSFX v4 and the HSFX v4.1 mods. I read in the forum instructions that I should place all of the v4 files into one folder so that when I execute the v4.exe, the Part 2 v4 would install automatically and all of the v4 files would install. However, when I tried to activated v4.exe, the first part would install and then a dialog box appears and reads: "insert disc 2". Since the HSFX mod is a download, there is no disc 2, therefore the installation cannot be continued and was aborted. Is there a way to install HSFX v4 without "disc 2?" Any help is greatly appreciated. I am a dedicated IL-2 fan. Thanks. -
Skins...
airwolf replied to amariani's topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: Mods & Skinning Chat
Hi Amariani, I hope you are having fun with IL-2: 1946. I sure am. It's easy to add new skins in IL-2: 1946. Just follow these steps: 1.) Download a zip utility program like Win Rar.(www.winrar.com) (it unzips the downloaded files like a can opener) 2.) Check out the skin section of CombatAce and download your favorite skin file to your desktop. 3.) Click the downloaded zip file icon to unzip the skin file to a temporary folder on your desktop. 4.) Click open: "My Computer" icon. 5.) Click open: "C: Local Disk" icon. 6.) Click open: "Program Files" folder. 7.) Click open: "Ubisoft" folder. 8.) Click open: "IL-2 Sturmovik 1946" folder. 9.) Click open: "Paint Schemes" folder. 10.) Click open: "Skins" folder. 11.) Click open: the specific aircraft folder (i.e. Bf-109G) 12.) Drag the skin file into that folder. There you have it, now go fly and have fun! You can also use this same procedure when you also add missions download files to the "Missions" folder. Good luck. -

Try: www.tuttovola.it. It has a list of mods and patches for IL-2: 1946. It is in Italian, but click "translate" and it will be in English. Good luck. -
Pe-2 Skins
airwolf posted a topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: General Discussion
Hi IL-2 fans, I have just installed the IL-2: 1946 sim and it features the Pe-2 bomber. The Pe-2 is one of my favorite VVS aircraft of WWII. Sometime ago, I remember there were some great Pe-2 skins in the IL-2 Skins download section of CombatACE. But when I looked at the download skin section, I cannot find them. Have they been removed? I would be very interested in them. If you know where I can get them, please let me know. Thank you. I love the Pe-2 and I fly it very often in '46. Thanks. -

PE2 of 125.GvBAP, 4.GvBAD
airwolf replied to buglord's topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: File Announcements
Hi Buglord, This Pe-2 Skin, (Pe2 125 Gv BAP) which Pe-2 version does this go to in IL-2: 1946? Thanks. -
Hello, whatever happened to all those skins for the Pe-2 bomber of the IL-2 Stormovik series? I remember seeing them in the IL-2 skin download section. I tried to find them again, but they are no longer there. Will they be back again? I hope so, the Pe-2 is one of my favorite planes in IL-2. Thanks.

Aircraft Add-Ons for SFP1 and WOV
airwolf posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Hello, I am a new pilot in SFP1 and WOV and I have just downloaded a Mig 21 jet file on my desktop and I would like to install it in these sims, but I am not familiar with the procedures in doing so and I would like some help please. I am a veteran pilot in CFS2, FS2002, and FS2004 and I am very familiar with the add-on procedures in these sims, but not on SFP1 and WOV. I have the Winzip download utility, but it is no use on these files from CombatACE. I would also like to know how to install the add-on missions also. Any help and tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. -

:) :) Thanks MK2, I'll give it a try. Hey, I remember you on the Third Wire forum, do you remember me? I'm sure you do! By the way, how is the "Aces of North Vietnam" VPAF campaign for WOV coming along? When will it be ready and which website can I download it? Thanks!
