  1. Thanks wrench. Near as I can tell you got all the cockpit stuff right. I'll keep looking.
  2. Now Ive got another issue and I have NO idea how it came about. Maybe you fellas can help with this. I have installed wrenchs nations and formations inis with this install. It was working fairly well. At least I had enemies to fight when the mission started, even if it was the same plane all the time, (Ki-43). But now, almost every CAP or intercept or fighter sweep mission starts with "mission accomplished". When I F6 my view around, there isnt an enemy in sight. What the flock over!!! I tried adding this line to the Solomons-V3_nations.ini as it wasnt there... [Nation006] NationID=216 Name=IJN DisplayName=Imperial Japanese Naval Air Force Alignment=ENEMY PlayerFlyable=TRUE Mercenary=FALSE PilotNameList=NamesJapanese.lst RankList=RanksUSAF.lst CallsignList=CallsignsUS.lst Formation.Fighter=WW2GerFighter Formation.Attack=WW2GerAttack Formation.Bomber=SovietBomber Formation.Transport=SovietBomber Formation.Tank=USTank Formation.MobileAD=USAD PilotTrainingStandard=NORMAL GenderRatio=0 But it doesnt seem to have helped or hurt. What do I do to get my enemies back?
  3. Raven, I think you are correct as I tried this and it lessened the darkness of the shadow. But then it occured to me that THAT may be the problem. So I set CastShadow=FALSE. It had been true. Now the box around the prop is gone. Thanks for getting me on the right track. Now to see if I can figure out the cockpit issue again. If you all have any suggestions Im open. :)
  4. Whoa! Just tried something I hadnt thought of till now. I run a radeon 5670 video card. I have always set my visuals in the game to unlimited. Well, On a whim I tried setting them to medium and the prop anolomy is gone! Dont know why, any ideas? But glad thats fixed, and the game still looks pretty good. Edit: Seemed to work on one aircraft but didnt on others...soooo, back to square one...
  5. Thanks for the replies fellas. This is SF2, 2V, 2E, 2I with both expansion packs patched to Dec.2010-B. I didnt go any higher last because last time it just screwed tohe pooch when I did. Shoulda backed up eh? LOL! Didnt think a later patch would change any thing significant after reading the readme's on the thirdwire site. I have found out that converting to bmp does fix the skin issue. Thank you for that info! Still puzzling over the cockpit and propeller issue.
  6. Let's be careful out there

Being rescued myself off San Fransisco back in '91, I can vouch for this man's comments about being prepared and thinking about things BEFORE they happen; ie, considering possibilities. Only a fool thinks it couldnt happen to him. And when your family or friends, or even just someone else is with you, your responsibility to act wisely only grows. And yes, God is gracious to those who consider him. Good story, thank you Fubar. PS. Oh yeah, read the directions BEFORE your in trouble, land, air, or sea.
  7. I decided to give SF2 another go. Did a Pacific WW2 install. Noticed that my bombs dont have any effects, they just disappear into the ground. This seems to apply for just about all the bombs big or small. CBUs still seem to work but the nukes dont. The rocket effects are different also. Not the usual appearance. Did the weapon pack or effects pack change something? Any suggestions?
  8. Pilots pics, Korean War

    Nice!
  9. Thank you Lt. I did update to latest patches. I also found that for some reason several effects were missing. I added them in and Im back in business. Thank you for the reply.
  10. SFG1WMSpeech.rar

Works great in my SF2 WW2 install, lol. Better than bubba! :0)
  11. AMX-1 for SF2

    Version

    1,192 downloads

AMX-1 for SF2 This is Rafaels' AMX 2.0 and Miraclemans' AMX Nations Kit with updated file setup for SF2. It has been updated to SF2 file structure based on their work. The Nations Kit makes two seperate aircraft for the two nations flying the AMX, Italy and Brazil. I moved the three skins to the appropriate nation folders, so the Brazil skin is only used for the Brazilian AMX and the Italian skins for the Italian AMx and so forth. Only one skin uses a non-stock decal and that has had the proper folder added. I have also added the proper gun(s) and missile for each aircraft, 2 x 30mm and the MAA-1 Pirahna IRM for the Brazilian plane and a single 20mm vulcan for the Italian plane. The vector RWR has also been added to both planes. I have re-done the hangar and loading screens to match the aircraft and its national air force; the AMI for the Italians and the FAB for the Brazilians. A userlist.ini has been added also. Finally, both planes have chaff and flares added. There was little info on these components location and number but I found one photo of an AMX launching flares, one comment on a single website that mentioned 4 launchers, and another website comment that the flare loadout was 15 each launcher which I assume also applies to the chaff launchers. So I used that info to add what hopefully is a close approximation of the AMX chaff/flare capability. Hence, 4 launchers with 15 shots each for a total of 30 flares and 30 chaff. Any errors in all this is un-intentional. Please let me know of any problems or needed corrections. Keep in mind this is freeware made by your community for your use. You use it at your own risk. It is un-supported by TK and Thirdwire productions and is released under the CombatAce freeware licensing agreement. It will use the stock pilot and A-4 cockpit in the game. Weapons and drop tanks are all working to my knowledge. It flies well in-game so have fun. God bless, pcpilot

  13. File Name: BAE Hawk T1A for SF2 File Submitter: pcpilot File Submitted: 24 Jul 2009 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Aircraft From the readme... BAE Hawk T-1A for SF2 This is Russouk2002's BAE Hawk T-1A. It has been updated to SF2 file structure based completley on his work.I have also added the Hawk gunpod made by Russouk2002 to its store of weapons, updated its list of usable weapons, and have updated the file structure for its skin decals. The plane has very basic avionics with no radar but a ranging gunsight, but I have added an audio RWR. This required the addition of its own avionics.ini file. A loading screen and a userlist.ini have also been included. A missing cockpit file was replaced and un-needed files removed. The shadow format has been updated too. Any errors in all this is un-intentional. Please let me know of any problems or needed corrections. Keep in mind this is freeware made by your community for your use. You use it at your own risk. It is un-supported by TK and Thirdwire productions and is released under the CombatAce freeware licensing agreement. Do not use in any kind of payware without express permission from the owner of these files, namely Russouk2002. Issues: Just two that I know of... 1.) The shadow has the long artifact to the ground at certain view angles. Just disable the shadow by reming out the lines in the Hawk T1A.ini like this... ///[shadow] CastShadow=TRUE ShadowCastDist=10000 MaxVisibleDistance=400 2.) There are no drop tanks for the Hawk that I can find. Contributers: 3D Model By Russouk2002 SF2 updates pcpilot To install, Just simply open the zip file and copy paste into your SF2 mods folder. It will use the stock pilot in the game. Weapons and drop tanks are all working to my knowledge. It flies well in-game so have fun. God bless, pcpilot Click here to download this file

  25. Cars 2 coming in 2011

Yeah, ima kid too. Something about the pixar movies seems to hit a cord and bring back good memories. Maybe the movies are written by folks who remember what it was like to be a kid when you still could be one. Loved Toy Story 1 & 2, Monsters Inc., The Incredibles, and the first Cars. Cant wait to see this Cars 2 and TS 3. Oh, to be a kid again...sigh...
