I would like to lay the blu-82 down in the horizontal position,,it's currently deployed in the vertical... How would i go about changing the model??? LOD edit?? Any direction appreciated... -

I've been playing around with a crude bomb sight,,using it on the B-47E,B-52D,F-111D,& B-57B...it allows you to actually drop a load of eggs on or near target with a little practice.. Was making my runs at different altitudes,and speeds..i was shocked at how accurate the sight was at say 19 to 25 k. Im sure someone has devised a level bombing method,,,but i just haven't seen it The sight can be implemented on any aircraft fairly easy..Just edit the aircraft cockpit.ini,ViewList,add a new sight.tga,& map a joy stick hat switch or key... Still experimenting with it..If anyone is interested in perfecting it ,let me know..cause im not sure how to put it together in a package for downloading..or if it's even worth messin with ******************************************************************** -

I know about this phenomena with the flyin carriers,,but,,,does anyone know what's causing it??? & Can it be fixed easily?? It's happening in Korean terrain,,with some, but not all of the carriers,,ie: Bulwark,Albion,Victorious,Irresistible,Melbourne etc... The USS Enterprise6 works fine,..is it a terrain issue or Carrier issue??I noticed when the mission starts using one of the above mentioned problem carriers,,the planes roll off the side of the deck into the sea,...lol,,,with the carrier about 60 ft above the water goin on it's merry way... ******************************************************************* *******************************************************************

Never mind..... Edward,...Who created the terrain explained that it's basically a sea terrain issue when creating addon terrains,it has something to do with the data used to make the terrains... Some of the carriers,with some of the aircraft simply will not work with some of the addon terrains,,as of now. Thanks to Edward for the explanation,i knew it was a problem,but,really didn't know why.... :) -
Im trying to get AD's beautiful Korat AB to show in WoV,using VietnamSEA terrain when making custom missions,,,had it working before latest patch... The default Korat AB shows,,but if i try to install AD's,,im havin no luck gettin it to work,,when the mission opens,,,my plane is sittin in the middle of nowhere's-vill... Im using Kreelins latest V 1.02 mission editor.. Does anyone have it working post patch???,,seems like there was some trick before to make it work in WoV,,but can't recall...

Fubar, Yes,,,,Yes,,,,No,,, I think i finally got it sorted out,,,i evidently didn't place my aircraft symbol exactly over the runway when creating the mission,,it's quirky,...BUT!,,,,, using Kreelins mission editor V 1.02..with AD's Korat base,,the editor still will not allow you to select it as a TAKE OFF point,,,you have to make the mission,,then open it up with notepad & change StartOnGround=FALSE to TRUE,,,, ....Then if the stars are aligned right,,,you will be at the correct position on the Korat runway... Here is a couple screen shots & the test mission i made,...using AD's great Korat RTAFB & VietnamSEA terrain.. He he...Im gettin there,,,Hey!! where's the runway??? Fubar,, i followed your instructions before,,but it didn't work at that time... I've since ,,reinstalled VietnamSEA terrain,extracted VietnamSEA_Target.ini & VietnamSEA_Types.ini ,,made the changes you suggested,,and this is what i got...At least AD Korat AB is showing... I noticed when i made a test mission using Kreelins V 1.02 mission editor,,that when i select TAKE OFF,,it won't let me tick the box...i have to go into the mission and change START ON GROUND=FALSE to TRUE..Then this is where i am ... ******************************************************************** -

This little pack contains a useable bomb sight & some minor fixes for the B-52G, thanks to Wpnssgt.. It has a modified data.ini,a choice of 3 diff color Norden bomb sights,a cockpit ini example, & a test mission. The Bomb sights zip located in the "Making Your Dumb Bombs Smarter" d/l has to be operational in order for this sight to work properly. It's a lot of fun dropping bombs on target from 30,000 ft with the B-52G... Instructions provided in readme ... -

Would anyone know who made the BLU/82 Daisy Cutter?? It's in the latest weapons pack.. I would like to know how to paint it,i don't see the bitmap in weapons folder,,is it a LOD issue,,where it has to be opened with 3D prog??? How can we doll this baby up??? It could also use a larger explosion,,,like a nuke.. Testing it out of a C-130 now.. A bombsight & bombing method pack for the B-29B & Washington B.1 heavy bombers... Hi Ron, I finally got around to d/l mission pac 3,....& tried running the missions,,you are correct,,i tried the Runway.msn first,,,when it loaded,,,it said "mission accomplished RTB",,i tried making changes to it,with no success,,so i tried some other missions in that pac, same thing,...i just deleted those missions that didn't run without a problem... . It's something to do in how the mission was designed,,,who knows,,i make my own missions, & don't have a problem like that.There are so many things in designing a mission that one little miscue can pork the mission... Maybe someone with more knowledge than i could spend the time & effort in diagnosing the problems with some of these missions... But, bottom line is,,,it's a mission problem,,not your problem... -

Where could i find said mission?? You can make some changes by opening the mission in notepad & editing it there,but exactly what all can be changed i really don't know... -

Then go to Forums,Strike Fighters/Wings Over Vietnam,...In the upper right where it has NEW TOPIC,,,click on search,,then enter what your looking for ie: "Mission Accomplished"... :) ******************************************************************** Using Kreelin's latest mission for SFP1 or WOV To assign a target to a waypoint,,i think,,you create your waypoints as you would normally do when making your mission,,Say you want a airfield to be a target,,, Make one of your waypoints over the airfield,,go ahead and complete all the waypoints in the mission,,,then come back to the one over the airfield,,zoom in to enlarge the airfield,,making sure your waypoint marker is exactly on the runway,,,then RT click on it,,a window should pop up giving you three choices,,down at the bottom click on the one saying "Make this Waypoint a target" or somethin like that,,,then another window will pop up verifying it.... :) There are alot of people much more accomplished than i making missions,,im lucky just to make a round trip mission ,,,with no frills..... This may answer your first question,,,i think it has to do with how the mission was created,,,by not assigning a waypoint to a target or something,,check this out maybe it will shed some light.... :) ******************************************************************* http://www.simhq.com/simhq3/sims/boards/bb...t=001332#000000 ******************************************************************* As far as the other prob,,,you can change the aircraft name in any mission as far as i know,,,example: if the mission was designed with a F-4J you can rename it to a F3D or F8D,,& those planes will be used instead.,,Just open the mission in notepad & change the aircraft,...(it's entered in two places i believe). -

I agree about the a/g mfd's with targeting capability,...but i think TK has stated before that it would take away from the games original design,,,,casual, light, fun sim... :) For me,with all the different mods,,,there is more than enough to keep me interested... -
Got a problem with the MiG-17PFU i haven't figured out,,,I NEED HELP!!... #1..Is the MiG-17PFU compatible with WoV? #2..Does anyone have this aircraft working properly in WoV or SFP1? #3..If #2 is yes,,please post a screen shot of it..cause i haven't seen it in so long i forgot what it looks like... #4..If #1 is yes,,,disregard all of this...but come to think of it ,,i couldn't get it to work in SFP1.. Something strange is happening here with the MiG-17PFU,,the little radar nose will not show..and the two outter missile pylons are missing,,, I know there are two installs,,,MiG-17PFU & MiG-17PFU-2,got em both,,im confused as to which one to use, and between the two of em i got me a MESS....my Recycle Bin has been gettin a work out... I've tried every combination of install known to man,,,with no luck.Checked the Weapons dates,proper pylon load weights for missiles,etc... Got the pit working fine,the plane textures are good,the only thing i see wrong is the RP-1 Izumrud radar nose is missing,& the two outter wing pylons are missing... I remember fighting with this install a long time ago....evidently didn't learn.. Should i try a weapons pack reinstall? Any help with this bugger will be greatly appreciated... :)
