I've played single player and campaign missions with no problems. I had a go last night with my online squadron and my throttle didn't work. I went back and forth to the 'Options' screen and verified my settings. Went through the tests and all appeared to be fine. Got back into the game and nothing. I couldn't get the aircraft to respond to keyboard commands either. Then while pushing keyboard inputs, I'm taxiing with full afterburners. Then from the external view I see my flaps and rudders working and get throttle response. Get to the runway for take-off and lose throttle response and dig the nose gear into the terf as I drive right across the runway threshold. Any suggestions on settings would be appreciated, if it's not my settings, perhaps you can isolate it elsewhere. Thanx. ABIT IS7-E, Intel P4 2.4GHz 800fsb, Kingston HyperX 512DDR PC3200 x2, ATI Radeon 9800Pro 128, Creative SB Audigy LS, Saitek X36 HOTAS, ATI Catalyst 3.9, AA & AF off with both set at 4X, Win XP Home, game settings at medium with water on low, heatblur off, reflections off, and last night one of my squadies told me to uncheck the 'Read Only' option on the game folder-to no avail.

It's automated via throttle setting/position. There is no user selected input for this feature in RL or simulation.

It's in the works. NP and ED/Ubi are aware and working to correct this issue. The most recent estimate is 2-3 weeks. They want to make sure it is a fix and not a band-aid.

Saw over at the LOMAC forum that Microsoft has added LOMAC to the Game Advisor list. It will test your system against the theoretical minimum and recommended benchmarks and tell you where your system rates. As far as the feedback on all the forums go, you will have the least amount of graphics issues with the ATI card. Not to mention the performance advantages stated by MadJeff on an earlier post. He was a hard and fast Nvidia supporter but has since converted to ATI. Nothing personal, it's just that right now, ATI has the edge, and it's a considerable one. Nvidia is not a bad product, it's just that for the moment ATI is better. Hope this helps.

Is it me or have my obserations been a bit skewed? It seems to like ATI products almost profusely. Only giving double digit ratings for most non-ATI vid cards isn't exactly what I would call an honest assesment. A little concerning, if you ask me. I know everyone wants to pimp their own product, but FAIR analysis is what I think most consumers want. Okay, you can say something or another is recomended, but to blast others because they are different......that's just not right. Maybe it's me.

I upgraded my PC recently and chose the ATI Radeon 9800Pro. Have had zero problems since downloading the Catalyst 3.8 drivers (link in Audio/Video section on forum main page). Just my two cents.

Nothing personal. It's just that some people think in "Arcade" mode and that you press a button or two and everything bad blows up. There is quite a lot more involved and SI is either going to minimize the risks and hazards, or lack of SI is going to get you a smoking hole reserved for one.

"G2" is short for General's Staff Intelligence department. In other words you gotta use your "Noodle" and not just push buttons and hope good things happen.

My sympathies to you. I had to put my first Malamute down a couple of years ago, all because of a stupid 8 year old. I took me some time to get over it. I'm still not sure I've gotten over her, but I have gotten much better at dealing with her loss. I have another Malamute, and though Abby is not Kyra, there are some quirky similarities that not only crack me up, but leave me thinking that Kyra is never really gonna be gone. Good Luck.

Why is it when taken wing damage by the Shilka, I'm bled of ALL fuel within seconds? Aren't the wing tanks self sealing? How about a more realistic rate of leakage, 10 seconds til tanks dry BLOWS! Or is it just me?

I'm running an AMD K7 Athalon 1200 1Gig CPU, 512 SDRAM, Saitek X36, Xabre Video card with 64 on board RAM (replaced a similar perfoming VooDoo 3500). Settings are set as low as they can go and graffics go Tango Uniform about 15 seconds into the action with the A-10, frame rates are sucky at best with the Mig-29. Building a newr updated Computer within the next couple of weeks (been planning it for a while, this just turned up the flame a bit). Going to an Intel 2Gig CPU, with at least 512 DDR RAM, keeping the Saitek X36, probably an ATI Radeon 9700 or 9800 pro with 128 (256 if I find a deal). Oh yeah, doesnt make a difference right away, but I got my cable modem up and running earlier this week. No more sucky dial up!!!

WHen I click on the "Fly" button below the A-10 the demo quits. I did the DL from that bittorrent place and no luck. I get scenery when I try the Mig-29, but no aircraft. THe only thing that appears to be working is the "Options" menu navigation. I waited this long for THIS?!?
