Depends on the Aircraft type.. The F-4 used the TRIGGER for ALL Forward firing ordnance.. What ordnance was selected on the 556 switch on the left throttle.. Th F-4 began life in the US Navy and that was their philosophy at the time..
The F-16 and the F-15 used the TRIGGER for GUN and the 'Pickle' Switch/button for MISSILES..
I DO have real life experience with this.. In F-4s, F-16s and F-15s.. You can't see any extra illumination when you light the wick... ANOTHER BS effect is how quiet it gets when you bust MACH.. it DOES NOT get quiet in the cockpit when you go supersonic..
Over not too bad.. But the external tanks are part of the aircraft model and CAN NOT be jettisoned or removed.. Very unrealistic.. The readme says something about how the were' Fixed' In real life... NOT true!.. I have REAL LIFE experience with F-106's and the external bags always could be jettisoned or removed..
