Hurricane Season
Dagger replied to Peter Brooks's topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: General Discussion
ok I tried it but so far only back as far 4.05,one question though.when you unzipped it you said you unzipped it into your campain folder..look inside and make sure theres not another folder there.it'll be titled "Battle of Britain" if so cut this folder out and paste it into your campain/GB folder.NOT the one that says BOB Hurricane Season. -
is it true that DW uses starforked as copy protection?

Hurricane Season
Dagger replied to Peter Brooks's topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: General Discussion
Does it only need 4.04?I haven't tried it yet as I'm flying a P-40 campain right now.Send me a link and I'll give it a shot.I'm using 4.08m so I can just revert back to 4.04 and give it a try.Post a link to it. -

OK with everything that is being said on other forums, and people wanting to cause trouble inside the community I am issuing this FINAL warning to anyone who even conciders starting a thread that is 1)flaming someone for any reason..no exceptions!2)takes away from the general purpose of this forum which is the mature and civil discussion of the sim First Eagles. If anyone has a problem let the staff here at Combatace know and we'll fix it.This site has not in the past and will not now or ever condone anyone flaming someone,or starting threads to just start an argument. If you notice theres now a warning bar under members names..IF start trouble you won't have to worry about that bar,I'll max it out and then you'll be gone. The staff here will not tolerate the things that are going on in other forums.IF you have a problem with these rules...don't come back.We want only mature and civil member who enjoy simming and helping others,NOT whiners, crybabies and trolls just wanting to start trouble, and that includes e-mails and PMs.The staff will not be spending all our time looking over threads here because some one thinks they are all knowing and have to have their say no matter who it hurts or what anybody else thinks. So the option is yours you can be a member of the community and get along or go away and not be welcome here.I for one am tired of the CRAP that this sim has caused and it has taken away from so many wanting to enjoy it..IT STOPS HERE AND NOW!!! NO MORE WARNINGS.

New 4.08 patch for 1946 IL-2
Dagger replied to Toto-Free's topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: General Discussion
I'd do the standard uninstall completely(make sure no folders or files remain)defrag and then reinstall and try to patch again. If this doesn't work try UBI customer service(I know thats almost an oxymoron)but maybe they can help. But I'd start fresh first. -
you can get it at these locations. http://www.filefactory.com/file/2c62c2/ http://largefiles.deltasix.game-files.net/...ama-af_v1-0.exe http://fafa.griffons.free.fr/Falcon4/Campa...ama-af_v1-0.exe http://hosted.filefront.com/ChappyUSVN/1903730 http://www.btinternet.com/~malcolm.hutcheon/index.htm If you have trouble with it not showing up look for this: terrdata\theaterdefinition\Korea.tdf terrdata\theaterdefinition\Korea2005.tdf terrdata\theaterdefinition\Korea2010.tdf terrdata\theaterdefinition\Balkans.tdf terrdata\theaterdefinition\Balkans2005.tdf terrdata\theaterdefinition\Balkans2010.tdf ODSAF\definitions\Desstorm.tdf Panama\definitions\panama.tdf Theres a small symbol in that seperates the last 2,if you have Desert Storm also..but look just above the Panama and you'll see a samll square symbol, just delete it.and this file is in your main Falcon 4 folder theater.lst file, just open it with word pad and fix it.

Also: The server can now check for changes on the client-side game modules, i.e. ensure the modules were not modified. To enable the check, a new key was added to the conf.ini file. In order to set the client-side verification parameters you will need to manually edit the conf.ini file located in your main game folder before launching the game. Open the file with a text editor, find the [NET] section and in the checkRuntime = line write in either 0 or 1 (or 2), then save the file. If the checkRuntime = line does not exist in your conf.ini file, add it to the end of the [NET] section. checkRuntime=0-no check is made (default); checkRuntime=1-quick check; checkRuntime=2-comprehensive check. NOTE: during the comprehensive check, if the client runs a different OS version from the client, the check may identify the OS differences as changes in game modules. New maps: Desert Online: Ian Boys, Vladimir Kochmarsky, Ray Grützmacher, Laurent Cunin Italy Online: Jörg Wiedemann, Ray Grützmacher, Laurent Cunin Norway: Ian Boys, Laurent Cunin, Kjetil Aakra Murmansk Summer: Vladimir Kochmarsky, Ian Boys Airbase Restriction: Please note that Herdla on the Norway Map is a fighter base which based aircraft up to the Bf-110 only. When using large flights of aircraft, only planes of the Bf-110 size or smaller will take off successfully. It also has new skins, someone said over 100 new skins. It's big download at 144 megs. but so far it's well worth it. -
This is a much asked question..but it's apples and oranges.Falcon is a true simulator, where as LOMAC is alot easier but has better graphics.I am a HUGH Falcon 4 fan,so my opinion is biased.I ended up selling my copies of LOMAC and the FC add-on(which uses starforce for copy protection..thats part of the reason it sells took a hit)If you're wanting a modern simulator Falcon is the best bet,but plan on spending time in the training missions learning everything from ramp starts to take offs, weapons and navigation, radars(theres alot to learn here),refueling, and landings.LOMAC is pretty but not nearly as complex.
-
It's a great title, abit dated but still one of the best.IF you want realism and a very good SIMULATOR,then I might suggest Falcon 4:AF.The learning curve is kinda steep, but it is fun.if you like Props IL-2 series is the best way to go,with all the flyable aircraft, and carrier and land based ops, plus all the options on what you want to control this would be a great choice for a prop sim.If you're into BIG bombers from WW2 B-17 II The Mighty 8th,again dated and single player only but alot of fun,and again as complex as you want.Hope this helps. If you want Navy and modern stuff F/A-18 is a good game,if you don't have compatibility issues as it's a win 98 game.IL-2:1946 which has all the IL-2 series in it on one dvd you get carrier ops but it's older prop planes and theres so many clans and the on-line play is fun.A shameless plug for my clan is TAW as we have an on-line campain on Saturdays.

after waiting all these years..I was hopping around and yelling.I remember watching Super Bowl 5 and jumping in the same way.I am thrilled for the entire Colts team and organization. What a group of class people.

I am biased..I like AMD.

Well you gotta take a trip to the East End and do a couple of things,1)stop by Upton Park(home to West Ham United) and take the tour,If you ride the tube, turn right out of the tube station and just opposite is 'Duncans Pie n Mash' which brings us to 2) be sure to stop and have a pint and pie and mash, with green sauce and loads of vinegar(malted of course). I'm heading that way in Aug. to meet up with a bunch of West Ham fans that I've come to know through the net,and while the shopping is nice nothing beats the match day experience. If you go while the season is going on check out a match,I believe theres about 4 teams that play in London, but I recommend West Ham,the best fans in the world, and the best food in the premierleague

Il2- 1946
Dagger replied to FlyingFinn's topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: General Discussion
Not that I'm aware of...it would be nice but they've been really great in helping with our contests. -
I'm not sure if you can edit that part..I'll ask and get back to you.

does this happen even if you try to join a game? Are you working with hyperlobby or hamachi? This is FYI: everyone must have EXACTLY the same files, planes and if memory serves the only thing that can be modded is the eye candy.if you tweaked the ini files or added planes then the game conciders anyone with different planes and ini files as a cheat and will boot that player.
