spread the word...and come back often.Welcome to your one stop for all your LOMAC,SF and WoV downloads.welcome! -
Just how detailed are you planning on making the cockpits? I mean will they be like Falcon 4 and Janes F-18 with alot of buttons and switches or will be they be like say Strike Fighters and WoV with ketboard control of everything?Your cockpits look amazing so far.Just wondering what kind of learning curve there will be.

while I do enjoy the interservice rivalry the Navy and the Corps have a unique relationship and bring to bear the most awsome tactic in warfare..the combined arms assult.envopement by land, sea and air.while the services do have their moments it is when combined as one they really show their potential.the firepower brought to bear in just 1 amphibious assult task force is overwhelming, and is an awsome sight to see.

I guess I'll just stick with the ones I already have...

On this day with our men and women in the field that started with our Pearl harbor on 9/11 we must never forget the men and women that 60+ years ago showed why they were the greatest generation, and all those that served in between those years..and to our men and women today that are in harms way as we read this NEVER forget. With each passing day theres fewer WW2 vets to pass along the memories that keep their friends alive...NEVER forget!don't let them slip away forever.take a moment and just say howdy to them, thank them.but never forget them.

Radar guided missiles
Dagger replied to chrislancaster01's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Buff..you're spot on.The vietnam era aircraft had no flares and very few had chaff...the radar guided missiles were ify at best, and the sparrow was a true radar guided missile so once you got a lock and fired you HAD to maintain a lock with your radar to guide the missile home, and the sidewinders were rear aspect missiles so you had to be in a postion behind or at least in an angle to lock the nozzle of their engines so the missile could"see"their heat signature.ECM pods came along later and had to be slung under wing. -
Oh yeah...everything is maroon and orange around here! It's gotten Hokie Crazy. Not bad concidering they were picked to be 8th in ACC preseason.

Chris..welcome to Biohaz, and to answer your question, most of the aircraft released are continually being tweaked by their builders.I'm sure the aircraft will become great... -
copied this from a site...I've seen it before and it's still funny: Subject: FW: upgrades Dear Tech Support: Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources. In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system activity. Applications such as Poker Night 10.3, Football 5.0, Hunting and Fishing 7.5 and Racing 3.6 no longer run, crashing the system whenever selected. I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my favourite applications. I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0, but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0. Please help! Thanks, A Troubled User. Reply: Dear Troubled User: This is a very common problem that men complain about. Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and entertainment program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!! It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0. It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once installed. You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed to not allow this. Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under Warnings-Alimony/Child Support." I recommend that you keep Wife 1.0 and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the background application "Yes Dear" to alleviate software augmentation. The best course of action is to enter the command C: \APOLOGIZE. Because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway. Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance. Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean and Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5 and Do Bills 4.2. However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag 9.5. Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0! WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system. Best of luck, Tech Support

Sparrow AAM
Dagger replied to Mickyd's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Missile lock is dependent on a couple factors..range plus angel of attach.Sidewinders are for close range fighting.the tone will change as the missile locks on a heat source.these are rear aspect missiles so you need to be to the rear of your target.Sparrows are active radar missiles and to optain a lock point the nose of your aircraft towards your intended target and press the INSERT button(default) for radar target or for visual target press SHIFT+INSERT.if you have your difficulty set on hard there is no target diamond in hud.also once locked you MUST keep target painted with radar so no fire and forget here..you have to keep your nose on target until impact.Hope this helps. -

I don't think anybody has built the Starfighter as an add-on for WoV.and due to copyright laws they can't take it from SF and upload it.Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. -

Oh sorry...ok a brief history of the sim...B-17 the mighty 8th was the follow up to the origional B-17 flying fortress.Mircoprose released it and it was soon evident that there were MAJOR problems.one of the big ones NO multiplayer.they had advertised it with MP being 10 men in 1 plane...oh well...soon a patch was released that fixed some of the bigger problems and a second patch was released, this was mainly an engine management patch.they then released a tool to help change nose art and plane paint.but that was all..everything else was done by by a very gifted community at Bombs-Away.net. it was there the issue of NO mp was somewhat solved by a group of dedicated"Fort"flyers who formed v8th ops.they assigned missions and gave you settings to be used on missions..you flew them then posted your results.from these you gained rank and medals...why amI going through all this?well one of the team that now has the code is a member of Bombs-Away.They are listening to the guys who continue to fly this great sim,and getting input from alot of people on things they are going to try and fix.from the sounds of it,they are planning a major over haul and then re-release the game the way it should have been, don't get me wrong, this is proably the best heavy bomber sim ever...gotta love the"Forts".you could fly as any member of the crew, and manage it. from the sounds of things they are taking on an awsome task...if you're interested join the forums and see and make a post or 2.they are a great bunch and be sure to run over to www.bombs-away.net and check them out.
