we're just getting over the 8" we got last week-end here...now we have an earthquake.not a big one but still I can now say"I've survived an earthquake"

This sim has so much potential...the mods and add-ons.Look at Fighter Squadron and where it is today,EAW,Janes WW2 fighters,Falcon 4....OFP and others.Yes patching will make it more fun,but this sim just screams for the community to make it even better.Look at the terrain and campains in teh works...Vietnam,Cuba,and the frozen north....future looks bright.

I can tell you that work is progressing on the 2nd patch..as for the future of SF..I have to say it's bright with all the add-ons and mods being done by members of the community.

Yes!!! oh sorry got excited...the weather and aircraft textures are improved and theres some more features that are used.I normally don't recommend non-combat flight sims as they tend to be boring but I highly recommend this FS 2004..if for nothing else the Wright flyer(which I try to do the Wright Bros. flight and never make it),and the beauty of this sim....I give it 5 on a scale of 5(not many make this). wil have to post more pics of this beauty but if you look under the compass you'll see a card and it says"if you're reading this card,you're to nosey..get back to fly the airplane"

no patch that I know of..but mine don't look that bad,will keep my eyes open for one though.

I'm really starting to like the amphibians...best of both worlds!

I've been installing scenery and add-on aircraft...this is so much fun.next to SF i found the best looking F-4 I've seen check it out..

I can't get alot of the things in the add-on to work.is there a patch or do i have to spend some more money to fix it?I love the aircraft but no carrier in the scenery,and that's what this is all about.any help would be greatly apprciated.

found the fix..gotta get a CD to update the add-on to work with 2004.problem is no carrier.

chief,you remember that first Christmas away from in the service? man I drew duty and remember sitting in a tower at Gitmo thinking how much I wanted to be back home.you're right growing up all you want to do is leave then once gone all you want to do is go back!

man that is soooo true..I remember we'd go on vacation and leave the house unlocked(come home and find notes from everyone telling us what they borrowed),and getting spanked at school,our shop teacher had a paddle that whistled on teh down swing used to drive you crazy,was actually worsr than the whipping itself.and my dad making me go get my own switch to get whipped with(took awhile but learned the long limber ones weren't the best choice).

ok my new system has XP home and SP1 with all the updates and hotfixs(whatever those are).so will SDOE work ok on my new system?

Yes theres a patch being worked on..yes it does fix alot of things,and yes theres problems with lomac also.I can tell you first hand the patch is being worked on,and theres a bunch of fixes in it.the MP is the main hold up...trying to get it so MP is stable and fun.

yes there will be a second patch..it's currently in beta testing.the main delay is the fact that the MP is being fixed.no there hasn't been any posts by TK or any of the beta testers lately because everytime he psted he got flamed so he quit posting about it and told beta tester no more posts about it.but testing is continueing and theres will be ALOT of fixes when it is released. also lets keep things civil in this thread..this isn't the place for it.

I have a 5700 fx ultra and I must say I LOVE it!! cost is very close to ATI card and with teh bestbuy rebate I got 1 heck of a deal..might look into this card also.
