Why don't you download the demo and see how that runs? There really isn't much of a performance increase in the final (if any, IMHO).

Yep, that worked for me. Actually changing my email didn't work, but just going in and changing nothing, submitting did work.... weird (oops, forgot... UBI = weird) Thanks for the tip!

Thanks Ghostdog, I'm glad it wasn't just me. I agree on the comms being disappointing. It does add immersion and it's unforunate they didn't do more with it, IMHO. As far as unchecking native betty, I did that, and the in cockpit warnings are in english, I just didn't know if there was a way to make outside comms (like the tower) talk in english. But after what you said about it being pretty much useless, it really doesn't matter. Oh, one other question... if the tower does give you that heading and altitude, do you know... is it some sort of pattern that would lead you to landing (i.e., the next heading/altitude), or just gibberish that runs you in circles? I get the impression from your post that it doesn't do squat with regard to guidance, am I reading that correct?

When I open the comm menu and select tower, I call inbound and get a vector with an altitude of 8000 feet. No matter where I am, or how many waypoints I follow. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Also, is there a way to get the comms to speak in English, even if I have a Russian jet? (I do have the native option off). Thanks!

I think the new software is an improvement, however, even though it recognizes me, I can't post because "I haven't verified by email". Sheesh.. I tried it several times, it accepted it, but still won't let me in. Typical UBI screw ups! Anyway, I'm pretty content with just reading them and posting on other boards (such as this one). Only real reason I go there at all is the developers post and I would like the patch first thing.

Smokin' Bob referred to water textures that improved the overall frame rate at not much of a graphics loss. He said they were somewhere on UBI, but I can't find 'em. Anyone got a link? Thanks! :)

Yep, GoGamer is known for such promotions. I wish they would make a discount on MaxPayne 2 or KOTOR though! tc223, you have had good experience with xpbargains, I take it? Never heard of 'em. Oops, never mind, just checked them out. They seem to be running a bit higher than GoGamer across the board.

Just venting a bit. You would think they would have better board software at Ubi. And while I'm at it, whomever is doing the Lomac page should check their work. The SimHQ link is a duplicate to the PCArena link (TWICE!)! Ok, rant mode off! ;)

I downloaded IronHand's refueling training track, unzipped it per instructions and got it to work (once). Now, it still works, but the voiceover doesn't play. I wonder if voiceover problems were why Lockon's training is all in text instead of voiceover? Anyone else hit this?

Jeff, I don't know what to do... I login fine in the forums, but it won't recognize me on the main site. I'm sure I'm using exactly the same username and password with exactly the same case. If you want to just delete my whole shebang and I'll re-register. I'd like to keep my username though...

I had a biohazard account. I tried to login with my username/password, but it said my username wasn't in the database. So I reset it, got the confirmation email, and it said I was registered. Ok, so how come when I try to login in the biohazard webpage, it still says my username isn't recognized?
