BWyld replied to BWyld's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
Not sure Mr.Wrench, these may be Paskos that I have. No sight on them that I know of unless I just didnt find the sight button! Sure like that one they use in ACES HIGH though, thats pretty nice! -

Don't know who else has probably tried this, but I have done it and it is effective. Using the B-24s,(has B-17 cockpits,) I use the center of the steering wheel as a sight and begin the release at that point. Somewhere between the center and bottom should be on target. Make sure your view is extended out to max. May also depend on your altitude,(I'm usually under 3000) but I have a 90 - 95% hit. -
Unlisted Key-Functions?
BWyld replied to BWyld's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Well apparently its not mapped in my config. Which is strange since the first time I had used it,(long time ago, had uninstalled then reinstalled recently,) I didnt have to change anything. Just happen to see a read me file and just started using the buttons on both canopy and engine. At least what I remember I didnt change anything. Anyone have to add these to the file? -
Unlisted Key-Functions?

Been looking for this one, and dont know if its just such an old topic, and I swear I had this on a Read-Me from a file but cant seem to recall which button or buttons and I've been all over the keyboard. 1. COCKPITS - I know this is supposed to be "0", but it doesnt seem to be working unless I need one of the re-maps or something. 2. ENGINE Off/On - I know I found this on a Read-me, but I cant seem to remember the combo keys exactly. Was like shift+ctrl and I for ignition or something like that. I tested several configurations with no luck. Anyone still use that one? -
Old Dog stuck at New Tricks!

Roger that and many thanks. My problem was getting TO or finding the Object Folder, or cracking the cat. Never messed with those in CFS3. So spoiled by open folders! -

Thanks, Wasnt sure on a quick glance, and impatience is my impending doom tonight! I have 7 zip, but dont think that works for the cats to install new objects does it? I only use it to unzip and not much else. -

Sorry Gents, I know this is an old topic for most of you here, I spent many years with CFS3 and figured most everything out for myself. Unfortunatley I cant seem to figure out the puzzle yet! Any of your links to installing ground objects and using the tools would be most helpful. I've looked but I think I get lost in all the muddle! Thanks for the help! (Strike Fighters 1) Bill Wyld
