Yeah..I get those too..But once I hit 90 kills..the skin of the Ac from canopy forward disappeared. I know its from the kill markings because starting a new pilot with no kills brought the skin back to normal again..what I am saying is this..once a pilot hits 20 kills, one star should show and then kills added to the number in the star..21, 22, etc..and it might do ok on the phantom..however the F100 is the aircraft I was flying.. Now..here is something else..Leading Edge Flaps generate more lift open than closed..its backwards on the flyable's, when the LEF's are open they generate less lift than when closed, this is evident by the climb rate jump when the LEF's retract. The climb rate should decrease..not increase..LEF's help in low speed maneuverability by generating more lift when deployed and decreasing AOA. As it is currently modelled..this isn't the case. This is also why the stall model is quirky at high speeds at the moment..the FM's are developing too much lift at high speeds because the lift being generated is actually what it should be with LEF's deployed..not retracted. Ok..another one..even if I eject..I die..not sure..but doesn't ejecting mean that sometimes at least you live? DK -

Tested in multiplayer..the rudder control on the F104 is reversed..on my X45 the F100 and F4 rudder is fine..but in the F104 pushing right rudder induces left roll/yaw..and left induces right roll/yaw..should be left to left..right to right.. DK -

Mine works just fine in the Interface..I get crashes if I don't reboot often enough..or shut down SF and restart it.. DK -

Its known and reported about A2G damage..also about wings not attacking a2g targets as they should.. ON the mission Failed type..you also have to protect a package..its best to start from the runway on the missions to figure out what exactly needs to be done..check with the Radar intercept to see whats what..most of the time you are intercepting fighters going after a friendly strike formation..If the formation gets shot down..mission failed..starting from the runway you can link up with the strike package..then fly ahead of em to find your intercept. Found another one..this one is graphical..keep in mind I am flying the LONG version of the campaign..my current pilot has 94 total kills..I hit 91 and the nose of my F100 from the side of the canopy forward turned yellow..the skin graphic was gone..but my kills were there..I think the kills encroached past their area of "paint" so the sim made a bigger area to accomodate..by removin the sheetmetal..LOL..this could be easily fixed..once kills hit a certain number..one star is shown with the number of kills in it.. system specs: 1 ghz amd Tbird, SBLive Xgamer, Geforce 4 mx 440, 52x cd drive, 356 meg ram, 30 gig hdd, X45 HOTAS DK -

Umm..the sabre has 4 20 mm cannon under the nose..take a look at the underside of the aircraft right below the US..you will see four gun ports.. DK -

What has to occur before you or your squadron whichever way you want to put it..gets a new airframe? I've already made major in the campaign and no new airframe..score is like 22800 points, I've flown like 23 missions, of which 99 percent were CAPs of some kind, and still no F104..... DK -

Question regarding gunsights and color changes to above..

Currently the default colors for some of the gunsights tends to bleed into the terrain and sky..I was wondering about changing colors on these sites a bit..so I found the textures and checked them out in photoshop..pretty simple to do it seems..however, before I go about doing this I want to be sure that changes to the sights as far as colors won't affect the sim. Second, I am curious..is it possible to swap gunsights between aircraft, for instance taking the F4 sight and using it in the F100 pit..or the navy/marine A4 site in the above..as I've always preferred that gunsight anyway..The MK1 was always so simple to use.. I run the 30.82 drivers..in the Nview settings for the card there is a color correction settings as well as in the textel alignment etc..its best to use a tweaker like Rivatuner for these drivers..this can be downloaded at Guru3d.com, on any top end TI card like the GF4 TI 4600 FSAA at 4xs should cause no noticable framerate hit in SFp1, My mx 420 at Quincox runs 40 -50 fps on good weather flights..20 to 30 fps on bad weather flights..so a TI card should match these easily at the highest FSAA, to further clean up the images in riva tuner under Dx settings is a little known setting called multisample masking...this helps sharpen Antialiased images like Text..such as that found on the guages and external markings on the aircraft..in quincox mode I can read the little tiny 10's and currently the 50 inside the little red star on the side of my bird quite easily..reading the guages is also no problem..my next planned upgrades for my comp are a 2.4 ghz amd K7/all ddr motherboard/and a GF5 or the new Matrox card..I'm leaning towards the NV30..as it seems that the ongoing development of this GPU seems to further improve it to beat the new competition from Radion and Matrox..expect higher FSAA settings with these cards as well..the Matrox will run at 16x AA already..making lines like antenna cables on aircraft razor sharp and very straight..with very clear text..and nice straight wing edges..WITHOUT a loss of performance..new tech that Matrox has developed..read a review of a development card a while back.. Textel alignment etc is also important to sharpen an image using FSAA, as well as the LOD adjustment..these can be fine tuned to produce that nice sharp clear image in the 3d world that he has produced with Photoshop..reason why photoshop produced it? because the sim already has it..its a matter of tweakin your card to show it..trial and error to find the best settings for each card type..TI4600 probably the easiest to tweak out and no..I'm not overclocking my Geforce.. if you are running a pretty modern Nvidia card there are settings in the nvidia interface that will do just that..it takes a bit of tweaking but the result not only benefits SFP1 but all of your sims and games..and in some cases gives a slight performance boost.. DK -

Like they say on F4 SP anything..oh..should be three to four weeks... ...from what date that is calculated is anybody's guess..this is the pretty much standard reply there meaning..it will be released when its finished and not until then dammit! LOL..ok..seriously..I hope its not just the AAA and sams thats being adressed, however..its one hella sim already..I love flyin the old birds as much as I like flyin modern birds..after all..I've beaten the IL2 Fighter campaign russian side three times...and had to start a new logbook in F4 due to F4 freakin out over flight hours, awards etc..it hit the wraparound point..
