  1. Hats off to OBD software!

Slick Wilhelm: If you go here: http://www.ch-hangar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6204 Bonz has provided a profile for OFF Phase III using Fighterstick, Pro Throttle, and Pro Pedals using Control Manager. It assumes TrackIR use and so minimizes views. Tony
  2. Flyboys

Has anyone seen "Passchendaele the Movie"? I don't think there is any flying in it but it is supposed to show the horrors of life and death in the trenches. I do have a copy of it, but am waiting until I have my Home theater finished to view it. so I can get the full effect. IIRC it was shot in Shredward's home province of Alberta 2 yrs ago. Tony
  3. "One last word about why theres no elevator marking on the upper side surface, there was a small texture repeat problem on the elevator so I decided to leave it out." Great job FUBAR, enjoy the Monitor I thought that you were just ahead of your time with the "Stabilator" that allowed Chuck Yeager to break the sound barrier in the Bell X-1 Tony
  4. Thoughts about OFF sales.

See post #14 of this thread. BTW Computer Pilot Magazine did not reply to my e-mail Tony
  5. Thoughts about OFF sales.

Received this reply from PC Pilot Magazine: Hi Tony, Thanks for your email, but we have already covered OFF in issue 41 of PC Pilot. We are aware of the new version so we will include an appraisal in a future issue. Kind regards, Derek Editor – PC Pilot
  6. CJ: As much as I would like to take credit for it, it was not my handiwork. It was on the old OBD website during Phase ll I believe. IIRC that was something Mr Shredward authored Tony
  7. Thoughts about OFF sales.

Barnstorm: I also sent an email to Computer Pilot as well as PC Pilot basically saying the same as you. Hope something comes of it. Tony
  8. Love is in the air.

Quick! Someone throw a bucket of water on them. Tony
  9. Winder: Great news, I'm sure that sales will pick up as word continues to spread Tony
  10. How to Give a Cat & a Dog a Pill: The Cat: 1) Pick cat up and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow. 2) Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process. 3) Retrieve cat from bedroom, and throw soggy pill away. 4) Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm, holding rear paws tightly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten. 5) Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call spouse from garden. 6) Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get spouse to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously. 7) Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from foil wrap. Make note to buy new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered figurines and vases from hearth and set to one side for gluing later. 8) Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force mouth open with pencil and blow down drinking straw. 9) Check label to make sure pill not harmful to humans, drink 1 beer to take taste away. Apply Band-Aid to spouse's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap. 10) Retrieve cat from neighbor's shed. Get another pill. Open another beer. Place cat in cupboard, and close door onto neck, to leave head showing. Force mouth open with dessert spoon. Flick pill down throat with elastic band. 11) Fetch screwdriver from garage and put cupboard door back on hinges. Drink beer. Fetch bottle of scotch. Pour shot, drink. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last tetanus shot. Apply whiskey compress to cheek to disinfect. Toss back another shot. Throw bloody Tee shirt away and fetch new one from bedroom. 12) Call fire department to retrieve the stupid cat from tree across the road. Apologize to neighbor who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid cat. Take last pill from foil-wrap. 13) Tie the little ba***rd's front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining table, find heavy duty pruning gloves from shed. Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of steak filet. Be rough about it. Hold head vertically and pour 2 pints of water down throat to wash pill down. 14) Consume remainder of Scotch. Get spouse to drive you to the emergency room, sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearm and remove pill remnants from right eye. Call furniture shop on way home to order new table. 15) Arrange for SPCA to collect mutant cat from hell and call local pet shop to see if they have any hamsters...... How to Give A Dog A Pill: 1) Wrap it in bacon. Enjoy Tony
  11. OT Your top 3 aircraft of all time?

My top 3 Aircraft well here goes: 1. Spitfire. Just because it's a Spitfire 2. Mosquito. Because it did it all. 3. Lancaster. I always loved the Lanc A close runner up was the F86 Sabre. It just looked like a fighter should. Tony
  12. As usual you guys have done a bangup job with the new Home Page!! Tony
  13. First time i've seen this

I thought that there was smoke from houses in phase 2. I have a good memory but it is pretty short. Tony
  14. Further to what I said earlier in this thread, We as in the "OFF Community" have to get the word out to anyone who will listen, and even those who don't, how great this sim is. Winder and the Devs have done their part, now it it is up to us to do our part. Go to every forum you belong to and sing the praises of OFF BHaH. Tell all your friends and relatives about it. As was said above start emailing reviewers asking them what they thought of it. I'm sure if sales improve enough a new engine can be aquired that will enable easier online play. Come on guys and gals lets make a concerted effort to get the word out, It is time to do our part. Tony
  15. Mr Winder and the rest of the Devs: OFF BHaH is simply a phenomenal sim. Words cannot accurately describe it. It has to be experienced to be fully appreciated. I subscribe to various FS magazines and to date I have not seen any mention of OFF in any of them. I'm sure that copies were sent to them for review and given the lead time required these reviews should be forthcoming. This should pique the interest of the FS community and hopefully generate more sales. In any case you fellows have done an outstanding job of making a silk purse out of a sows ear (CFS3). If an add-on is developed I will be first in line for it. Thanks again for all your effort!! Tony
  16. Great Job Thanks HB As was mentioned earlier this should be a sticky Tony
  17. OFF P3 is.....

I voted OK. Not to rehash things but the super accurate ground fire, AI telescopic vision, and the two seater accuacy are all things that IMHO could be tweaked. Don't get me wrong this is a great sim and the Devs are to be commended for their dedication, and hard work. Tony
  18. I am probably evenly split between Campaign & QC. Depending on my mood at the time or how much time before SWMBO gets home. I usually have a couple of pilots on the go at any one time. One or two for QC and one strictly for Campaign. I once made the mistake of using my Campaign pilot in QC, you guessed it, got a case of target fixation, I wasn't too careful and he augered in and I lost him. Oh well 14+ hrs. down the drain, time to start " Baron Wolfgang von Schafft" again. Tony
  19. What a p*sser

Sounds like the two Newfies who went ice fishing and got run over by a Zamboni!! Tony My aplologies to the great people of Newfoundland, but that was the way I heard it.
  20. I'm gonna take a wild guess here, and suggest that you start with "Gimpy's" Tips and Cheats Tony
  21. Engine Sounds

The vibration are from Bass Shakers or Butt Kickers. Many Home theater systems use them. I have a set that is going into my gaming unit. Google "bass shakers" to find out more about them. They really add to the immersion factor, some say even more than a FF joystick.
  22. There's plenty of room for all God's Creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes. Tony
  23. Musical Score for OFF movie 11

Matt: I have nothing but the utmost admiration for your score for BHaH. Speaking as someone with 2 tin ears and unable to carry a tune in a basket, I don't know how you manage it. Every time I boot up the game the musical score gives me goosebumps and I usually sit mesmerized by it. Tony
  24. Beware the Strutters

Catfish: I believe this is a mechanism for starting the engine, rather than have some poor "Erk" have to pull the prop by hand. Tony
  25. OFF BH&H Video: Revenge !

I love all your stuff Catch. I just wish I had the talent. Tony
