  1. AN/ALQ-81 S/C-Band Pod-Mounted Track-Breaker; manufactured by Sanders; used with AN/ALQ-83. AN/ALQ-83 Pod-Mounted Track-Breaker; manufactured by Sanders; used with AN/ALQ-81. And a 'Pre-SURE' RF-4B can carry Two Pairs......... Length and Dia. is the "Golden Egg" for Me. Can't get any concrete Info.....Even from old retired Recon Phantom Marines I've talked to can't come up with anything. But I've been told that it's closely to the ALQ-88 in Length and Dia, of just one Cylinder of the 88. Semper Fi! 331KillerBee
  2. On a RF-4B, If You load an AN/ALQ-81........You've got to load a AN/ALQ-83. On the Early RF-4B's during Vietnam till 79'. They are Track breaking Pods working in the 'S' and 'C' Bands to defeat Soviet Radars in the Low Level Threat Area. 331KillerBee
  3. 3D Construction

I agree with Stary here. If Yall' want more development in this Area, Gmax is the way to go........................ This should have been done Years ago. A Exporter for Gmax would be Killer...... 331KillerBee
  4. Getting it off my chest.

Sooner than later, There will be Modllers that will build Models of better Quality and function than He has..... It's a Matter of Time. Then Capun will be Non-Required (His sub-par Models) to this Community....... (Had to do it. Just so I can be Banned for Life and get My Medal.) 331KillerBee

  6. Talked to a fellow retired Rotor Marine Today, He informed this Winged Marine that it's the Medium Squadrons......... Because of the Numbers. (Amount of Type) He told Me it went this way.... HMM/VMM's, HMH;s, then the HMLA;s. VMA's......Then Maybe, a VMO. 331KillerBee
  7. Here's MEU Information also....... MEU's: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marine_expeditionary_unit Pacific: 11th MEU https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/11th_Marine_Expeditionary_Unit 13th MEU https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/13th_Marine_Expeditionary_Unit 15th MEU https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/15th_Marine_Expeditionary_Unit Atlantic: 22nd https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/22nd_Marine_Expeditionary_Unit 24th https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/24th_Marine_Expeditionary_Unit 26th https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/26th_Marine_Expeditionary_Unit Japan MEU: 31st https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/31st_Marine_Expeditionary_Unit First Division MEU Unit Numbers start in the 'Teens' for First Division. Twenties for 2nd Division. Thirties for 3rd Division. If 4th Division ever went 'Active'. They'd be Forties. You'll find a 'Start' to MAU's Air "Assets" through the Links above..... Semper Fi! 331KB
  8. This Site is for the Vietnam Period Marine Rotor Squadrons.... http://www.popasmoke.com/ This Man has just about every Serial for every Airframe accepted or used by the U.S. Military.......... http://www.joebaugher.com/uscombataircraft.html Tail Code List for the U.S.M.C. ............... http://www.aerospaceweb.org/question/history/q0301.shtml The "Rule" of thumb with Marine Air Assets assigned to MEU's is that the 'Heavies' are the CAG's, In almost all Cases since the Boxer and Essex went LPH..... Usually, The Detachment Wing assigned to the Amphib Carrier will consist usually of a CH-53 / V-22 Det., CH-46, AH-1, UH-1N and AV-8. Sometimes OV-10's too. Well, The Lead Squadron is usually the 'Heavies". A CH-53 or V-22 Squadron. Then, The Det takes on the HMH Squadron's Tail Code. That's why People see odd Tail Codes on Harriers that are not their standard Tail Codes. Now if the Det only has the largest 'Lift' (Rotor) Aircraft as a CH-46...... Then the whole Det's assets will have the 46's Tail Code.... If the largest 'Lift' Aircraft is a UH-1N/AH-1 Squadron.....Then, It's their Tail Code.... That's how that works...... BTW, I was on the only three times that a AV-8 Squadron became CAG. Twice on LPH's with AV-8C's and once with AV-8B's on a LHA....... The only way a Harrier Squadron can become CAG, if it's a 'Full' Squadron Deployment onboard without any other Assets. Semper Fi! 331KillerBee P.S. I'll look for the MEU 'Deployments' for Ya'

  13. Excellent Work! The AN/ALE-39 Counter Measure Dispenser System (CMDS) is capable of carrying up to 60 chaff, flare and/or radar jammer expendables. The countermeasure material may be ejected in single or multiple salvos. A salvo consists of a series of single bursts ejected at specific intervals. A salvo can be ejected from a single dispenser or simultaneously from both dispensers. If an empty dispenser is selected, or if a dispenser runs out of countermeasure material during a salvo, the system automatically cascades to the loaded dispenser. Starting with the RR-129/RR-144 Chaff Cartridges and Mk46/Mk47 IR Decoys, (Flares) There is about 50+ different Cartridges used in many combinations. The Total is always '60'. There is even 'Practice Chaff/IR Flare Cartridges. Source: NavAir 01-245FDB-1 331KillerBee

  15. Folks, I've been involved in the Community since 2002. I've made Suggestions on Aircraft before, Even asked for Objects to be done before. But in all of that Time, I've never out-right asked for a Model to be built until now.... There's a first Time for everything.... Well, really, I've got two... This one...... And this one............ It's only a Request. I know they may never get done.Plus I know Yall' 3-D Artist are just as busy as Hell., But it's two Birds I'd like to see in Game. I don't know why. I'm not a Vought Man. I guess they just look Cool. I guess that's it. Naw, I want to do a 1 v 1 between the 'Phantom' and the 'Crusader III'. That just sounds cool to Me. That's all......... I'm surprised that Yall' 'What-If'ers" haden't jumped on the Crusader III yet. Semper Fi! 331KillerBee
