Zuni smoke marker rocket
sparkomatic replied to echoco's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Not challenging you, but I have never seen it in a CAS mission, would you be able to snap a screenshot and post it? Maybe I am doing something wrong. Maybe they dont like me. No idea. -

I like the WWII mods...except for 1946, they are the best treatment of the type in a flight sim (and 1946 gets points because of all the sweet ground targets...I love shooting a truck and watching the dudes run out of it) -
where ist the F-7 topic?
sparkomatic replied to 76.IAP-Blackbird's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I think they submitted it for download, but a couple of errors was delaying the release. If you can read Chinese, it may be up on the InSky website... -
Su-15 radar looks "slimed"
sparkomatic replied to sparkomatic's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
actually I do not have photoshop, only MSPaint and it cannot see a tga file, so no go for me. I know, funny that I have 3ds Max 8 and not photoshop... -
really? maybe I should send an email instead...honestly had not thought about contacting them...will give it a try. hey does Perrot still work for them?

Same here, Pac v Pat with the Pats the winner

isnt the last writers strike what spawned the "reality" based shows anyway...so why are they striking so soon again? They are getting worse than the MLB/NBA

It annoys me when people ascribe it to something in the civilian world...yes, terrible/tragic things happen to civilians to, no question! But "shell shock" is a particular kind of reaction to the horrors of war.

Su-15 radar looks "slimed"
sparkomatic replied to sparkomatic's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Looks like radarFrame.tga reticle.tga sightreflection.tga then rwrGreen.tga rwrRed.tga rwrYellow.tga Seems like they should not affect it, but I changed out the radar.tga with a radar.bmp from MiG-23 and the issue remained -
We are also seeing brain damage surface ex post facto, from blast waves of IEDs. Oddly enough this stuff can go undetected for quite a while. The Army has no handle on how many PTSD-cases it will see...these are the dudes that ran Walter Reed BTW (and dont think for a second they would have fixed anything if they had not been caught). am NOT flaming the Army, was very disappointed when it came out, and yes, many people are to blame.

Sarah Conner as in Terminator-bait? Man had not heard...

Wait...there are writers? BSG? I really enjoy that one...man, the terrorists-based episodes were hard for me, but then that was their point...not afraid to tackle difficult issues...and there Olmos rocks!

I cant believe Dallas lost...not a fan and I like Eli, but did not expect that And yea! Indy is out...figured one of the Manning offspring would keep going, but it turned out better than expected

I have used Alpha Sim for years and when they dropped a T-34C, I was one of the first in line...really looked great (heck, you could almost smell the popcorn-vomit) but one thing I did not like was the FM's treatment of landing Needless to say I did more than one T&G in that beast and in the game, even doing 1/6 of the allowable sink rate on touch down yielded a bounce in the game. This is not realistic at all. Especially for a plane that you buy to do endless T&G work in really. Obviously a FM guru could fix it in a second, but my MSFS-tweaking days seem as long ago as before I could shave. Do you have any MSFS-tweaking skils? PM to me, please cheers

Installing SFP1+WOV+WOE as a "unit"
sparkomatic replied to Bluzman's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
yep, even games that taut "merged installs" can leave you vulnerable...for instance the iL-2 series...if you want to play on line then you have to have exactly what someone else has, and if your buddy didnt do a merged, then you have to start over. -
uh...thanks...I know...I was making a comparison to just how long 3,000 hours is...sorry that my odd sense of humor is confusing at times. In order to garner 3,000 hours in a type, given that typical sortie duration is less than a 1.3 it would take years. apologies if I seemed more ignorant than I usually am

Yep, name it something else or else take your original install and name it something different...easy to undo latter. -

some of my aircraft wont work
sparkomatic replied to triplethr3at's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I still say start a separate install and only add one plane...see if it works...you are not deleting your old one, just making a new one...besides, you can then remove the test bird and use that as your on line option
