  1. Ahh well, thing is I haven't been able to find a suitable model resource. This is what I got recently. The model is pretty good, but the textures are average. And believe me, There are a lot of projects going on at the same time, it’s just that making a player-operated (especially with a cockpit to make) aircrafts is harder than anything else. So they will take more time, maybe in due course I will update with some images showing the progress
  2. Type 625A/625E SHORAD

Hi,bazillius Haha, it seems that a friend has already encountered the problem, I hope this will be of some help: 1. The service time of 625A is 2020, and it is set to Mobile_AAA. 2. Need to ensure that China is included in the theater. Currently I'm running on the Taiwan Strait map and they are able to be deployed correctly, they are powerful and without good electronic countermeasures, completing the mission can be challenging 3. Based on past experience, 625E will be a purely export model, so I have limited the Userlist to several countries that may potentially purchase it, including Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Indonesia, etc., and the starting time is 2023. The reason I set it up this way is to be as historically accurate as possible within the context of [What If], but of course you are free to modify it if you wish.
  3. View File Type 625A/625E SHORAD Please note that because there is less information about this air defense system leaked to the outside world, this mod has certain [What If] content. So what are Type 625 and 625E? "Based on the revealed images, the Type 625E is a short range air defense system, or SHORAD. It is built as an 8×8 vehicle-mounted self-propelled anti-aircraft gun and surface-to-air missile system." —— From Military-Wiki This SHORAD is set to debut in at least 2021, with Type 625 being PLA’s own version, while Type 625E is the version intended for export. The difference between them is that the Type 625 has a longer gun and only 2 short-range anti-aircraft missiles on both sides. In this mod, due to the lack of 100% accurate model materials, I personally transformed the Type 625E based on the real prototype, named it Type 625A and set the service date as 2020. In summary, this mod contains: 1.Type 625A SHORAD (Olive Green/Desert Digital); 2.Type 625E SHORAD (Woodland/Desert/Desert Digital). Usage: Copy the Objects folder into your SF2 main folder. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Model/Texture: Tim Samedov & Me Data/Modding: Me. Special thanks to:GKABS (for the Stinger model, the HY-6B seems to have a similar appearance to the Stinger, so I adapted based on his great work) Submitter simonmiller416 Submitted 11/03/2023 Category Ground Object Mods
  4. First ground object mod, already published and awaiting approval!
  5. 2 versions of 6X25mm SHORAD from the mysterious country of the East
  6. Do you mind if I ask about the current progress? I don't know if I can help in some way, just wanted to briefly understand. After all, I still have many ongoing projects, so I can’t make any guarantees.
  7. Video thread 2

    It's a link ,but lmao
  8. First time trying to port a bomber ,looks fine. Resourse purchased from sketchfab.
  9. Gosh, I'd say you're really good at working with chrome surfaces (the reflective area in front of the engine, I don't know if that's the right thing to say) I've tried to do the same thing on an E-7, but look bad. Great work!
  10. I tried the method in the link and it worked for me, I hope more people will know. Before doing this, I had to endure having to close and restart max after a few minutes of work, over and over again, now I don't have that worry
  11. I truly believe so. What I want to clarify is that I'm not saying dog fights happen all the time. Modern birds and weapons can indeed ensure that warfighters avoid getting into dog fights, but it still has a probability of happening. (especially in games) So this has been mentioned, one of my favorite things to do in SF2 is to lead 3 F-22 Raptors, intercept those Sukhois dozens of kilometers away with 120s, and let the Allies do their job, then keep quiet , stay alert, I think this is what they are best at in reality, but they have never had the chance to practice it (We don’t want this situation to happen either).Of course, the most regrettable thing is that we cannot have a data link... Now it's time for me to close my eyes and dream of a Strike Fighters Game with modern electronics
  12. This looks to be a long-standing thread and I don’t know if I’m a little off topic,I understand that SF2 is not prepared for the new era of air combat in the 21st century, but I still like this part. BTW, even modern air combat will not always be in the BVR stage. The capabilities of missiles are limited still. Unless the F-22 faces an opponent as different as the Mig-21, it will often have to enter the "Dog Fight" . It's still interesting for me to think about tactics at different distances.I like to take advantage of advanced fighters as many as possible and cooperate with other allied units to control the entire air situation. However, in this context, the most regrettable thing is that we do not and will not have an HMD. When we operate the AIM-9X, we can still only rely on the HUD,otherwise we can only bet on whether it will fly towards an ally or an enemy in a dog fight.
  13. Didn't get my hand on them, but I think they are based on MK82, consistent with what Ukraine got
