Great vid! I'm impressed by the intense sense of speed that this sim grants. The damage implementation, with igniting fuel leaks, is awesome. The more you show about Jet Thunder, the more I wish to have it.

Really is it automatic?? What a shame.... -
I turned to be a Raptor too.....and guys, trust me, when I eat baked beans, the term Air Superiority starts to make sense What military aircraft are you?
-
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy......I know this sim is going to keep me glued to the screen for ages! Flying the Skyhawk from the deck of the carrier will be awesome. You guys rock! Can't wait for the video too.

This is great news! Thanks Dante.

Hello guys, I get straight to the point. Almost every simulation that has carrier ops lacks on realism about carrier activity itself. You're all alone on the deck, if you don't count the cat officer (if a catapult is present) and your wingman. Have you planned to populate the deck a little bit? I know this isn't crucial for the sim itself, but we all know that are details that make the difference. Thank you

It depends on what kind of sim you're looking for. IMHO the best is to focus on a particular bird and learn to tame it. I tried both WoV and its predecessor, but I felt I was playing with 90's sims such as F117A Nighthawk or F15 Strike Eagle II. I'm now focusing on LOMAC's F15C after years of civilian simulation (FS200x). Next step will be Falcon 4 Allied Force. Don't try thousands of planes but focus on a precise model and enjoy it, trust me. -
dhasdell, you got the point. I was thinking about Racing Legends by West Bros Racing. That was to be a stunning race sim highly customizable to your needs (rallies, F.1, C.A.R.T., prototypes etc...) but did never come to life due to ever growing list of things to do and featurs to implement. Since Jet Thunder is a very promising sim in years like these where a serious simulation isn't so much requested, would be a sad thing if it will never come to life. I hope you guys of the team reach for the goal. I'll be here to support you. You have to finish. This project is simply a dream come true.

Yes, the Vulcan missions would be long, but surely interesting! Anyways, I'll be happy to see your sim even with the Harrier only. You're doing somethingm in my opinion, unprecedented in many ways. You have all my aprreciation.
-
First of all, I don't want to seem demotivating you guys. As I noticed you obviously recreate the Harrier FRS.2 (the Gr.3 too?) for Royal Navy, I also saw that you're developing the IA-58, the Mirage III (also it's IAI variants?), the A-4 (both FAA end Armada models) and the Super Etendard. For having a lower work load, have you ever considered the possibility to publish the sim with only one or two planes for both sides and the others being added as upgrades? It's only an opinion, though. Maybe the most common models from both sides.

This stunning sim is really coming to life!! Dante, do you think users could help in making the scenery? Do you make use of self made developing tools or already existing ones (I think about GMAX, for example)?

Much more a curiosity than a topic related to this sim. Argentina is full of italians that went there searching for a job and an affordable life during the first half of the 20th century. Iknow the story of two of them that became pilots for the Fuerza Aerea Argentina. About the first one, I don't know the name. He was from Talamona (Sondrio), a small town nearby where I live. He did get there with his parents in the 60's or so. My father said he died in the Malvinas while fighting on a Mirage. I'll search more infos about him. The second one has a more clear story since I talked a lot with his mother, now living in Italy. His name was Antonio Olivieri and he did pilot Mirage too. He didn't died during the conflict, but in an accident occurred some years later in a training flight. I don't remember exactly if he served from Puerto Belgrano or if he trained there. My father said the last name of the pilot was GAVAZZI and in fact, on the FAA website, I found a Fausto Gavazzi (but the site don't say he was born in Italy). Honour to all those braves who lost their lives.

Realism! A simulation has to be as realistic as possible.

Although I'm italian, I voted the Skyhawk, a plane I love since I was a child. As for the MB339, it isn't properly a combat aircraft, but an advanced trainer. Even our official display team, "Frecce Tricolori", keeps its combatd readiness by training with rockets and Mk.82 bombs, but the effectiviness of this little jet in a war is little: slow and underpowered engine. The pilot who attacked a ship with this critter demonstrates the high amount of courage required to be a good pilot.

Guys, you simply rock!! I'm following your progresses since I read about this wonderful project on AVSIM. This is going to be a smashing hit: a great and original plot, great planes "combat proven" such as Harriers, Skyhawks and Mirages, wonderful graphics and, I'm sure, wonderful flight models. Please, keep the great work up! You have a BIG fan in Italy.
