FALLSCHIRMJAGER Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Hello everyone. I have a problem with my AI numerals during flights. I try to edit some data file for each airplane DATA.INI but I had bad results. What I want is for them to rejoin the formation flying at the same height as I do, because I fly between 30 and 60 feet high. But the AI drivers do not and will rise above the 200 when I descend in height. I want to make low level flights but I can not do because my numerals do not. Can anyone help me with my problem? Greetings and thanks Quote
Teras Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 well , ive been had the same problem but when i changed the formation file which founded inside flight folder the problem solved. theres one in the download section, try it greetings leon Quote
FALLSCHIRMJAGER Posted October 31, 2009 Author Posted October 31, 2009 Thanks for your reply. Now the formations are more believable and I could get my numerals flying at 120 meters. But I'm looking to fly even lower, between 20 and 50 meters as I do low level. I found these numbers on file do not understand FORMATION.INI but they mean: [Fluid-Four] Position [01]. Offset = 0, 0, 0 Position [02]. Offset = 80, -10, 5 Position [03]. Offset = -80, -10, 5 Position [04]. Offset = -160, -20, 10 Those numbers have something to do with the altitude at which pilots fly IA?? Greetings Quote
Czech6 Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Those numbers in the formtion file reflect separation distances your AI flies from you. In order they are (in meters): x=wing/wing y=nose/tail z=above/below If you are flying extremely low and your wingmen are not following you that low it's because of their Safe Altitude setting in the AircraftObject file. Each experience setting (Novice, Ace, etc.) has a Safe Altitude setting. You can set these very low to get them to come down with you but you run the risk of them flying into the ground during ground attack and dogfight combat as they won't always be able to pull up in time to avoid a crash. FALLSCHIRMJAGER Posted November 1, 2009 Author Posted November 1, 2009 Hi, thanks for the tip. I could improve in some low level flying of my numerals, now fly about 30 or 40 meters. Although I would bring still lower flying. Guess we have to continue to try more things. Thank you very much Quote
