Rover Posted Monday at 12:58 PM Posted Monday at 12:58 PM Hello everyone. I have a question: I've noticed that the terrains in SF2 contain an item called "LocationMap" in their main .INI file (for example, in Desert.INI), which requires a .BMP image file. Does anyone know what it's for, how it works, and how to implement its use in new scenarios? Thanks in advance.
+Gepard Posted Monday at 01:57 PM Posted Monday at 01:57 PM The LocationMap is not part of all SF2 terrains. The game works well without it, because the location of a target area is also defined in the target.ini and in the Nations.ini of the terrain.

But the reason for I asked for LocationMap, is because IsraelME terraing has Nations.ini, Target.ini, where locations are defined, BUT it also has ISRAEL_LOCATION.BMP, and this why I asked for: if IsraelMe has Nations.INI, Target.INi AND location.bmp, I think that the locationmap has a specific function the improves the terrain (may be). Otherwise, there is no sense to have it. But, just I'm guessing.
