I recently subscribed to the new RKSL - MQ-9 Reaper mod, and thinking of integrating that in the future MP versions of the Pilot series. I don't know if I want to rework the existing missions with it, but it does look like it'll be pretty good, but not sure. I'll integrate it in a future Pilot mission and see what the feedback is for it.

This Mi-8MT MP mission is a test mission for the RKSL MQ-9. I'm not affiliated with RKSL, but I'm thinking of removing the Wipeouts in the MP missions and replacing it with the MQ-9 instead, given the size and scope of the missions. However it may not be worth it on this mission, given the Tigris, but I can easily change the loadout and such but should be fine given that it has Hellfires as default. Okay I've been working on some mission stuff with the Pilot series that I put out. I figured out how to increase the number of mission points for the maps. This is something I wanted to do in a long time, and feel that 10 points per task is a bit low. However, some tasks need to be done too, and I simply just increased the points per task to work out so to the player looks "normal". Most of them are the Insert/Extract points I added specifically as I wanted to use the map more. I'm also looking for map suggestions too if you have them, but bear in mind the minimum for decent flying time, is 20 x 20km at the minimum, not the max. Clafghan-sized or like the size of Altis, so if you have any suggestions, so if you have any suggestions let me know...

Okay after some poking around, I finally learned how to add tasks, and remove them. That means I'll be tweaking more of the Pilot missions now that I generally know what to do, and figured out how to mod stuff. I think this will be the focus of the week right now, just mission work that needs to be done and such. Overall it looks good that I'm learning how to tweak stuff and make the missions more exciting and more related to what the airframe would be used for, rather than trying to make it work and such.

Well I did an oopsie, and it well, worked out in the end. The Pilot missions weren't authorized by RobJ, who wrote all of the missions and the like, the original ones. So I had asked on his forum on the Steam page, and apparently some dude, "allen.l.huber", "authorized" me to upload the missions, so I thought "okay", and so on. Yesterday RobJ is decidindg to redo his missions with new code, and was like "Take them down", and I was waiting on allen.l.huber to respond, but RobJ didn't know this dude, so I honored RobJ's takedown request. Well fortunately RobJ realized that I wasn't trying to steal his work, I just was a fan of his stuff, and thought it was kosher. So now, I'm authorized to make more Pilot missions on the old code (which is what I spent an hour reuploading because it's easier to delete than upload), which is what the current missions I uploaded are on. He's doing new stuff, so look out for that, but I am in the clear and it's okay by him to make these kind of missions still.

A couple of hours later I finally got all the Steam Page images set for the rebirth of the missions from RobJs code. So if you're reading this and downloaded my missions before, things should hopefully be more stable and such, and no more deletions. I found a couple of missions deleted, so I deleted and backed up the reliable missions, so I may have to do some more in the furute, I don't know, but I like to play the game too, than admin tasks that take up an afternoon. But, it's finished, they all should have a basic image selling the mission, and hopefully people who downloaded it before redownload and play my missions. I may look into tweaking some missions though, some probably need some TLC and with the more knowledge I gained from tweaking a couple of related missions before. Who knows and we'll see.

Okay right now some missions are dependent on mod updates for this Sunday. A few missions require the update, so I'll work on those during the week as it goes to get them deployed Sunday, after I upload the mods. I'm working on tweaking the units and stuff so it represents the scenario better, and not always what was originally there. I am thinking of adding more tasks to some missions, and may do so, but not sure where to go with it, and so on. Okay, I'm starting to get the hang of the coding that RobJ did, and slowly integrating new Tasks in the missions. I may look into another mission where I look at some more relevant tasks for the various helicopters, other than what RobJ started out with. The more I figure out what to do, the easier of course it will be. I am looking at some missions, and like "I can do more with that". Bear in mind that do to lack of scripting knowledge, I can't create mission types so much as define things in a script, which I've been figuring out slowly. I'm not sure about requests, I'll take them of course, but the only answer I can give is: "I'll see what I can do." Bear in mind that the Pilot missions are pilot-centric, and not the other missions I have done, like the Insurgency and Assassin, or Assassins, which was in itself a simple mission to see what I can do. Don't suggest "Go behind enemy lines and assassinate this general", when you're a helicopter pilot, regardless of type. So ask and I may be able to deliver, or not.

Okay some of my Pilot missions are missing the Single Player option to enlist replacements of dead crew and so on. I'm slowly rectifying that, I fixed a few missions already, and will look at more down the road. The priorities is adding more tasks, like a Insert Sniper Team for the MH-92 missions on Altis. I may do that for Clafghan, but I don't know, the map isn't that big, and fifteen points is a bit much even for that map, given that there are few areas to drop them off. Remember these missions are helicopter based, so I won't be doing anything extra than tasks to lift somebody somewhere. I have an idea for the CH-67 missions on Altis, but that's for you to find out as the amount of updates I make to missions is so numerous I don't bother with changelogs on the missions, so sorry about that I might fix something, and it not fixable or needs multiple fixes to get it right.
