Ok so first off I'd like to say, unfortunately haven't gone on the modding escapades I thought I would, lot of unrelated personal stuff that ended up distracting me. Either way, I thought I'd ask, I've seen an F-32 and ASF-14/ST-21 on this site, however both have pretty low detail models, anyone considering making new ones/maybe even have a model lying around I could mess around with?

Figured I'd ask before going on an internet excursion to find models of those jets.

Also, I have my eye on the old Hangar B F-32s (The CTOL, STOVL, and CV trio), since they're on sale right now, and have a royalty free license so it should be ok if I get them flying in SF2, still thought I'd ask before I make any decisions.

The biggest thing is that modellers who sell of their models usually want it in some format that's hard to pirate. These days you never know, but that's something that a modeling company told me years ago. I mean you take a chance with models these days, whether or not their already ripped, but if it's royalty-free then you "should" be okay with exporting it to a format for a game. Though I'll just state that piracy has a zero-tolerance policy on this site, but if you're legit, then no problems with bringing it into the game.

Yes, these kinds of things are impossible to prevent completely.

Most of the content I create is based on assets found online, and even the parts I purchase can't completely avoid they were ripped from other games.

I usually compare their texture details to determine their origin, which is why I don't plan to release some of the projects I made even for months, because they are "suspicious."

Therefore, I would suggest you do similar work to eliminate this risk.

Once you've finished, I think you'll be able to do whatever you want, OR perhaps someone will be willing to take over.

For some background on the specific author of that F-32 model, Hangar B is the same person as Klavs81, who was a modder here at CA (he was the author of the F-35 mod) along at other forums as well, very sadly he passed away a couple of years ago: https://www.wcnews.com/chatzone/threads/goodbye-klavs-may-13-2024.31940/

I hadn't realised his models were available to purchase. I did see all the jets he modelled on his sketchfab page that were used in articles by The War Zone over the past several years, but assumed they were exclusive as downloading is disabled for them: https://sketchfab.com/hangar.b.productions/models

I'm not going to lie, the F-32 doesn't look all that bad as a "factory-produced" fighter, though.

Agreed! I spent many years playing Innerloop's JSF so I have a soft spot for that overall shape, Klavs' take on it really sharpens up the demonstrator.

Yeah, I was keeping an eye out for royalty free models in particular while I was looking
