d3dx9_28.dll not found!

I patched the game to the latest patch of 17 May. After that, I can enter the Main Menu, Single MIssion and click Accept. Then just the moment I click Fly, the game bails out with a message which basically says "d3dx9_28.dll" is missing. And in fact, the DLL file is not present on my system.

 

Now what am I supposed to do?

.ok..simmer...make sure you DL'd the most recent DX9 from the site link at 3rd wire. It should be April 2006

Yep and the sticky at the top of the forum shows you the patching procedure......read and head + no issues.....LOL
