Voyager Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I downloaded an A-6A plane model from this website but after installation game can't display it in the Single Mission builder. I must mention here that all other planes I downloaded from COLUMN5.US are functioning very well. Do you know anything about any A-6A's model vulnerability in that area? Quote

It sounds as if you have a nested folder issue. Open up the Objects/Aircraft/A-6A folder and make sure that there isn't another folder named "A-6A" within that. If so, cut and paste that one into your aircraft folder and delete the original. Quote
Voyager Posted October 16, 2006 Author Posted October 16, 2006 (edited) Open up the Objects/Aircraft/A-6A folder and make sure that there isn't another folder named "A-6A" within that. If so, cut and paste that one into your aircraft folder and delete the original. I checked it but everything with A-6A folder is OK. Also after aircraft's reinstalation it isn't listed in the Mission Creator menu. Otherwise both EA-6A and A-6E TRAM planes also downloaded from COLUMN5.US work very well. Well, can you give me any alternative link to A-6A model? Or maybe renaming EA-6A into A-6A and changing some of its parameters could be a better solution? Edited October 16, 2006 by Voyager Quote
+JSF_Aggie Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 I believe your problem is this, from the A-6A.ini: [AircraftData] AircraftFullName=A-6A Intruder AircraftDataFile=A-6A_DATA.ini CockpitDataFile=A-6A_COCKPIT.INI <---No space HangarScreen=A-6A_HANGAR.BMP LoadoutImage=A-6A_LOADOUT.BMP LoadoutFile=A-6A_LOADOUT.INI AvionicsDLL=Avionics60.dll AvionicsDataFilename=A-6A_AVIONICS.ini However, the _cockpit.ini included in the download has a space in it: A-6 A_COCKPIT.INI Remove the space in the file name. Voyager Posted October 17, 2006 Author Posted October 17, 2006 You were right Mr. JSF_Aggie! I had managed to enable A-6A in game but later I noticed it is rather primitive A-6A model because of using F-4B cockpit. So I think that better solution is to rebuild a bit an EA-6A model to the A-6A standard. Besides A-6A used AN/ALQ-126 jamming system. That system is listed in the A-6A_DATA.INI file at ECM section but I can't turn it on during flight by pressing Z key. Is it normal o I do something wrong? Quote
