the demo appears to be a partially revamped version of Dawn of Aces.

people would be better off getting get Red Baron 3D... it's better, they

can mod it (fairly) easily, and they can set up their own server for free.

 

strange, isn't it... that we wait 8 years, and then 4 sims come out at once.

i'll probably be purchasing all of them, with the exception of this title.

after playing the demo I wasn't impressed...it seemed alittle arcadish and add to that pay to play..I give it a 2 on the 5 scale.

I checked out the Dawn of Aces demo a while back. IIRC, the scope of

the game was impressive. There was a lot of things to do, and missions

to fly on. but everybody had a bounding box around them, and as you

say, the impression was "sci-fi jet fighter", not string and wood.

 

I don't like pay to play, but gotta s! the guys for producing a WW1 game.

it's a great shame that the graphics weren't overhauled with the movie tie-in,

though. potential newcomers to the genre will be put off by eyecandy of that

quality, i think. oh, well..

I agree that pay to play is a way that alot of gamers don't like,and add to this the fact that the game is graphically dated.But atleast they did try to make a game based on the WW1.
