grumpapotamus Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 How to edit aircraft so that they are ai controlled only. I have added many aircraft I will never fly, but would love to see as support or enemy aircraft in single missions. How to edit, or which files to delete in the aircrafts file?
tank03 Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 (edited) How to edit aircraft so that they are ai controlled only. I have added many aircraft I will never fly, but would love to see as support or enemy aircraft in single missions. How to edit, or which files to delete in the aircrafts file? I don't think you have to do anything. In my experience, I've seen all of my add-on aircraft used by the AI. In my last A-10 mission over Israel, I found a flight of F-15's doing CAP. I certainly didn't put them there. Additionally, you can change which aircraft are part of your flight or squadron with the loadout screen's drop down menu. In a four aircraft strike mission, I sometimes change the second fligth to fighters to provide a2a capability while I go in on the attack. Edited January 6, 2007 by tank03
grumpapotamus Posted January 6, 2007 Author Posted January 6, 2007 Sorry, I should be more exact. I meant, how to edit so that the planes don't show up on the aircraft menu, but will still appear in the game.

csb Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 I think in a/c ini, delete the CockPitData line is all you need to do. Leave eveything else as is. No a/c entry in menu.
