Jasta15 Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Hi Like the sound of all these monoplanes, but what of the great little German Gem the Siemens-Schuckert D.IV, a great little nimble fighter. Unlike many of the mono' s this saw combat with Jasta 15 amongst others. Would this not be a great aircraft to produce and it would compliment the Fokker VII's. Siemens-Schuckert D.IV Country: Germany Manufacturer: Siemens-Schuckert Type: Fighter Entered Service: 1918 Number Built: 123 Engine: Siemens-Halske Sh IIIa, rotary, 160 hp Wing Span: 8.35 m Length: 5.70 m Empty Weight: 540 kg Max Speed: 184 km/h Ceiling: 26,000 ft in 20 mins Crew: 1 Armament: Two 7.9 mm machine guns
+Laton Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Its a nice little plane. So far I've had no luck finding good 3-view plans of it.
Jasta15 Posted January 16, 2007 Author Posted January 16, 2007 Certainly not 3 view plans but this gives a fair indication of shape, proportion etc....or maybe not as I am certainly no specialist? http://wwi.priswell.com/german/siemans/index.htm Regards Jasta15

Was hoping that this beautiful machine would be built as well <S> Edited January 18, 2007 by MrCraig41
