+ST0RM Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 I've installed a fresh install of SF:P1 and patched it up the most current. It's located in a secondary internal hard drive. I've removed everything in it that I dont need, as I've created a Top Gun only installation with nothing but Adversary and USN aircraft. Everything was working fine last night, as I checked to ensure the game started after each time I added something new. However, when I went and updated each of the gundata and weaponsdata ini files, the flightsim.exe would not work any longer. It would simply go to a black screen briefly and then go back to the desktop. Sooo, something is defiantely not right with the editors. Because I could not get them to work properly, I had to place them in the main hard drive and map the ini files from there. Could that have something to do with it? I'm pretty frustrated at the moment as I spent 4 hours last night, getting everything loaded correctly. BTW, I am patched up to the current DX9 and have the d3dx9_28.dll in the folder just in case.
